I could be really wrong here, but I don’t think Tamiflu has any impact on if/when you are contagious. I had the flu bad two years ago and was told that Tamiflu just shortens the duration of the symptoms. And if it’s not taken within the first 48 or 72 hours of you getting the flu, it’s worthless.
I think they'll be fine for at least a year of so. Wouldn't be surprised if he proposes on Christmas tbh bc he's cheesy.
First Christmas since my wife's sister died. (I've posted about her husband before itt). Her husband blames my wife and her parents for "turning his wife against him" before she died so he's not coming to anything but he's also trying to make sure that we don't see his kids as well. His daughter and my son talk to one another on IM and she keeps telling her dad that she wants to see her cousins so we got a text message yesterday. Basically he wants my three kids to see his three but doesn't want me, my wife, or her parents to see them. So he wants us to arrange a third party to take my kids to a public place so that they can see their cousins for exactly one hour.
Man, if your own mother calls you a pussy because of your political leanings and where you live then fuck that. I've posted a few times how my parents, mostly my dad, is a very conservative fundamentalist southern baptist who I haven't exactly seen eye-to-eye with since high school. They almost certainly voted Trump but I haven't called them out much to the chagrin of several posters who think you should do that even with your own immediate family. My mother will almost certainly be affected by Medicare cuts that the GOP will be undoubtedly pull at some point in her life yet they'll still pull that (R) lever. Anyways, that being said they have never given us shit and we generally avoid politics as a conversation. If my own parents, let alone my siblings, called me a pussy like that then we'd pack up our shit and move to be closer with my MiL with the quickness.
I avoid talking politics with my family members. If they insist, I just nod along and politely change the subject when I can.
That was me, but lately the politics have become so absurd that I can’t even nod in good conscience. I just look at them and say, “Oh yeah?” or “Is that right?” without giving even a slight sign of agreement. That usually gets the point across, and there’s no more political talk.
Update: evidently there was a gender reveal done and announcements sent out. My 58 year old father is doing gender reveals. There are no words.
I told my mom and sister to fuck off years ago and I'm super happy about it. I know it's hard but people deserve that shit sometimes. I'm also a believer that just because we're related doesn't give you a license to fucking suck and make me hang out with you
Do you have kids? I was so confused in high school when a senior girl was calling one of my freshman friends “uncle Charlie”. My dad got remarried and I have a half sister that is 25 years younger than me. It was very confusing to me. Had me very early. I was out of school...he could have coasted in life.
We don’t. We actually just celebrated our second anniversary and had started talking about the possibility but that got put on the back burner. Need to create a few years of separation at least.
I was in your shoes at one point. If I can offer any advice it’s to live your life and enjoy your family. I was pissed when it happened and had the same thoughts about waiting. We had our daughter when I was about your age. We aren’t very involved with my dads family but he still comes around a lot more now that we moved back home.
I sincerely appreciate the advice. I’m definitely pissed about the whole situation right now, I don’t know, maybe one day I’ll get my head wrapped around it. I was pretty close with my Dad up until all of this happened. Feels strange to distance myself from him but that’s pretty much where I’m at.

I could bring up the text message to the entire family making fun of lesbian cars (a text message that included her twins husband who has a gay brother) story to start my Christmas week. Instead I’m sitting at an airport and just got a picture of my wife’s older sister, with new boyfriend, wearing a 1/2 Husker sweater and 1/2 Illinois Illini sweater next to the Christmas tree as the example of what my next 2 days looks like. (Thank god my brothers-in-law are awesome and I’ve received text complaining from them already)

Dad's friend came over. She's a female who just went on this thing about the sexual assault allegations against everyone being bullshit and p Diddy and kaepernick wanting to own the Panthers so they can 'stick it to the white people' I was really, really mean to her during that conversation.
Sister’s awkward kid dropped a hot wing bone on the floor. Brother and sister in law’s awesome 14 year old dog scooped it up, kid thought it was funny. We find out later. SIL is a vet, she takes him in to the clinic. 20 minutes later she calls, tells their daughters to get their shoes and coats on so they can go say goodbye to their dog. I’m so pissed at my nephew.

I’m assuming so. She X-rayed him and called back. They didn’t tell the girls why they needed to leave, just that they needed to go to the clinic and see their dog. I knew it right away. Still pissed at the kid.
