He could be mildly autistic. It seems equally likely that he's a football lifer and a private person who doesn't like having to play the Head Football Coach character in public. There was some story about him a while back that talked about how people he worked with at Oregon for 5 years or whatever knew virtually nothing about his life outside of football other than that he liked beer.
If I were a football coach and had to spend so much of my life in the public eye and interacting with media types questioning what I’m doing while having an elementary grasp of the game...I’d probably be an even more obnoxious version of Chip Kelly

Quarter of that staff was at Oregon and they’re not changing anything. They wait until they get senior year film with a lot of prospects. That may have worked years ago but times are a changing and they need to adapt, especially with the early signing period. They’re best hope is to get Jayden Daniels to commit and get things started. Most top Cali prospects are leaning USC (as usual), Stanford, Washington or Oregon.
