Just tried TeaTV. Hard pass. Even with using Real-Debrid, I only got ONE HD stream showing up for last night's episode of Better Call Saul. I'd probably get like 100 on Kodi.
What version are you using or where did you go for instructions? Have to reload a stick for a buddy. Edit: I tried a few random and ran into issues.
Really sucks dude is just shutting TTV down instead of letting someone else just maintain it. I mean I get he did the work to make it what it is but to just take his ball and go home now really is a kick in the balls. I really hate having to deal with Kodi again and the constant updating bs after how simple TTV made my life for months
Have been using the browser and reddit streams a lot recently to watch games. Mystreams is so hit or miss.
Terrarium was like the iPhone of these streaming apps, Kodi is like the Linux of them though. With Terrarium, shit just worked after opening the app. Kodi you have to do a bunch of convoluted shit to get anything done. But both are great in their own right, one is just not user friendly whatsoever to get off the ground.
17.6 for stable, 18.0 for beta. 17.6 will be the last stable prior to 18.0 being released as stable. I wouldn't update to the 18.0 beta yet, some of the major add-ons don't work with it. One neat thing about 18.0 is that it will be able to support using legal streaming services within it, assuming the add-on has been created for it. I know a Netflix is already supported. Frankly, I don't really know what the fuck the purpose of that is since you still have to have a Netflix subscription to do anything but I guess if you want to do everything thru Kodi then there you go.
18.0 is supposed to be a pretty significant update from what I gather. I know the Gaia add-on is going to have to go through some extensive recoding to work on 18.0. I probably just won't update to 18.0 for several months once it's released to ensure the add-ons I use have all or mostly all been updated to work with 18.0
Open source is the point. Still need to pay for that device but it’s still possible through freeware not created by anyone.
Ain't that the truth. I have friends and family who couldn't/wouldn't do Torrence or Kodi but once I showed them TTV they used it religiously and are now all depressed.
I thought the Terrarium guy started a new one. Someone at work said there is one called Movie Box or something and it works good
What is the best add-on these days? I was dumb and ripped Kodi off of my Android TV after being fat, dumb, and happy with TTV.
Showbox? That has been around for a while. Pretty sure it's torrance based but I can't really remember.
Exodus still works for me. I use Real-Debrid to get more HD streams so I don't know how well it works for non-RD users. I got well over 100 HD streams for Better Call Saul when I went to watch it Tuesday evening.
My buddy and I were sharing/splitting YTTV. He signed up for Sling just for Redzone so for the season we'll each pay full for our respective services so I can get Redzone too. Win win.
How about you hook me up with that RedZone/Sling login and I'll throw $40 at you too. Win win win. Now you're making money back!
my buddy's wife is in med school and they don't care about the NFL so he just signed up for sunday ticket under her school login and i venmo him the cost $25 a month for red zone + all the games is a good deal
You can get RedZone for $5 a month via the NFL phone app. Only works on phones, not tablets, and can't cast or airplay to your TV or any other device.
hell yeah shawn i love having the boys over for some beers and wings on nfl sunday so we can all huddle around my iphone to watch redzone
YTTV doesn't do PPV afaik. sadly ESPN PiP/multicast seems to only be available on Apple TV, I believe they removed it from the web player.
Did they let you stream two at the same time? I signed up for the $100 student discount plan. they gave me a free week trial but it wont let me log into two devices at same time.
I have Roku and get Redzone on the NFL app using a Verizon login. It doesn't appear in there until it starts at 1pm ET
Tea TV is trash. I went to watch an episode of Better Call Saul like a day or two after it aired and only got one HD source that was awful.
Oh really?!? I will have to check that this Sunday Edit: ...and by Verizon login, do you mean you only have your cell with them? That's all I have. If you have to have FIOS or whatever other products they have then I guess it wouldn't work for me.
So the Amazon Fire TV Recast looks pretty cool for those of us using an antenna who want to still DVR some stuff, the price is a little high but may end up getting one if they have good reviews, the ability to watch remotely would be pretty good.
