Oh he deleted it? Lol it was just a tweet about the Texas OU game that read like someone who just learned the American language typed out
Clicked onto Clay's account because of this tweet. His book blurb about too much politics into sports is killing me if only because almost every tweet today were about Elizabeth Warren. Seriously, two or three non replies (didn't read his replies) were about Warren. I wonder if he ever hates himself for this new schtick.
So we are an eye for an eye country now, eh? That pats fan would have thrown that beer just as fast in another player’s face.
No, bro. The point is that someone who experienced extreme leniency for a worse crime has little standing to demand the harshest punishment available for someone doing something objectively less egregious. Fuck Clay Travis with a pineapple, but that's not a very hot take.
But is that what he even said? All I have seen is Hill's agent - known douchebag Drew Rosenhaus - say the fan should be prosecuted. Maybe I missed Hill's call for him to be "prosecuted to the full extent of the law" though.
Admittedly, I don't know what Hill said. My mistake for not assuming from the outset that Clay hadn't just made it up like he always does. You're missing the point. It's not as much about what he did vs. what they did as it is about the disconnect on the requirements for justice.
Exactly. Charles Manson was neatly set free when it was discovered that Roman Polanski was a pervert.
That is not at all what I was saying. Not sure how you could have taken it that way at all, actually.
It’s kind of what Clay is saying and if you don’t think he’s wrong you’re kind of saying the same thing, right?
The state can and should prosecute the dude. That’s not the point. A person who was granted leniency through privilege for an objectively terrible crime demanding punishment is off-putting and hypocritical. It doesn’t exonerate the fan or mean Hill can’t be a victim of a crime.
they also love the "-Insert athlete- is a buddy of mine" line. How Clay handles the Eddie Goerge rumors each time.
