Just finished it. Spoiler Least favorite season so far, just did very little for me. Never explained the Conway war story thing and just swept too much under the rug like we wouldn't notice
On episode 12 Spoiler wtf he just pushed SOS Durant down the stairs? This is beyond absurd. This season has been mostly shit so far imo.
Spoiler That was the straw that broke the camel's back but Doug has really been grating this season. Im going to finish out the season but I doubt I'll watch any more assuming they get made.
Just finished. A few takeaways: Spoiler -Was really hoping to see LeAnn's rack -I don't like that Claire is president. -I didn't mind the Durant thing -I probably won't like the show as much with Frank not running the show -Going to miss Doug
Through ep 4 can someone tell me if it matters.. but during his last campaign stop frank saw some rando dude he got info on. Ss gave it to claire. But still nothing has happened on it? Just a throw back to his lover tim? Or what.. no spoilers plz
For anyone still going through it, don't bother and just start Better Call Saul assuming you've already seen Breaking Bad. I binged the fuck out of the 2 seasons on Netflix.
My biggest issue with this season was the choppiness of the writing and plot flow. Was it just me or did it feel like they jumped so quickly between the different narratives it was almost like watching a three hour movie that had been cut down to two for the theater? I couldn't keep the story lines straight with the constant feeling like I had missed a critical plot scene, especially as the season barreled on to the conclusion.
it had some jumpiness ala GoT. they built up shit (the election for example) and then it happens off screen. that to me added a bunch of the confusion
Just finished season 4, starting season 5 now. I've never rooted for villains as much as I root for the Underwoods.
Not sure if it was discussed ITT, don't want to read because of spoilers: -Didn't like end of season 3/beginning of 4 when it was more focused on the Underwood's marriage more than political gaming -Conway is weird. I don't know if he's a bad actor or what, but he's a weird character -Is this shit with Yates for real? So strange -Really like Tom Hammerschmidt (sp?), but think he's going to get got
Just finished the S5 finale. They're just killing everybody, it's ridiculous. The Durant scene was beyond dumb, stuff with Doug isn't very believable, and Yates' body is "on ice?" What? I guess I was entertained, will probably watch season 6 whenever it gets released. Felt the first 2-3 seasons were excellent television, 8 or 9/10. 2nd half of the series was not nearly as good. Completely agree. I want to know what really happened
Interesting couple of days for this show: - Actor accuses Kevin Spacey of sexually assaulting him when he was 14 years old - Spacey doesn't remember and then comes out as gay - Netflix announces the upcoming season will be the last - Netflix is reportedly now looking to do spinoffs of the show (Doug Stamper show was listed as a possibility) Not sure if the Spacey news is the reason but it was time for the show to end anyway.
Half way thru it. Feels like the script was rushed together at the last minute, which it was. Edit: Just finished. Meh...
I never started this show. I was always waiting on the conclusion to binge. Is it even worth it? Heard amazing things years ago when it started, but not so much lately
I'm into season 2. I like it but why arent the people in Frank's orbit suspicious as fuck about him? Not even talking about the Spoiler murders
i was gonna say i put this one in the growing list of shows that I tell people to stop at the end of season 4 but you're probably right. season 3 is decent.
I liked it, but not the type of show everyone gets into. Like the quoted post you have to understand the dynamics of UK politics at the time, good show though that's goes quickly.
So I did this and just finished S2. I would like to know what happened with Doug Stamper and Rachel. They finished the season with him laying in the woods after she gashed his skull with a rock.
