SEVERAL slices of pizza and about 4 wings. i was starving! Spoiler it was delicious and i actually feel better this morning and took a solid shit that wasn’t on fire
I don't even really like ketchup and I've been craving it for three days. Get it out of the fridge, look at the carbs and go.....
I feel this is where I need to be. Just trying to figure out how I’m bringing the wife along without too much bitching.
Assuming you don't have to eat breakfast or lunch with her, just make sure there's a meat and a veggie side for dinner and let her do what she wants outside of that.
I make a frittata every Monday for the week that gf and I eat for breakfast she gets a salad for lunch and I make dinner every night (have been using the shit out of cauliflower rice lately since it's a nice substitute for regular rice/pasta) it's easy as shit to get your SO on this
Tell her she is getting too fat and you’ll start fucking around if she doesn’t stop being so fat. You’ll get divorced so boom wife bitching too much problem solved.
Man Im starting to feel like Im cheating. Might need to dial it back. Lots of wings with ranch and fajitas with grilled onions covered in queso.
Think I read somewhere that onions are high on carbs. I might be wrong. Also read that a misconception of this is that calories don’t matter and they do.
Yea I can tell Im getting a little loose on stuff already. Speaking of loose, wearing an old pair of pants today.
How am I just seeing this thread? What’s going on Keto fam welcome to the party. A quick little background about my success via keto: I started in September of 2017. I weighed about 230 at that time and I had gained some serious relationship weight. I was about 1.5 years into a relationship when I started. Before then maintained around 207 from exercise and decently eating right. I had a boss who was strict keto, and had been for over a year at the time. By the time of the Holidays I was down to 207 again, which included breaking for thanksgiving week. However with holidays, and travel, and meals on top of meals. I quickly shot back up to 220 by the end of January. That’s when I decided to get back in. Quick side bar. I do it a little differently, as I mixed in intermittent fasting. I’ve never been a big breakfast eater any way, so I would only eat two meals a day. Only eating between about 12-7pm Fast forward a few months. I occasionally break, but overall keep a net carb diet of about 25g. Mostly hit the fat macros and play tennis twice a week. I weighed 197 in mid September before getting the legit flu and falling off the wagon again. It’s taken me until last week to get back into it again, but now I’m on the back end of the flu, I drink shitloads amounts of water, starting to feel the brain function tick back up. This is a great diet, and I’m happy to share my experiences with you all.
I know I said I wasn’t going to weigh myself until Monday but I wanted to see if this was worth it. I guess I need some personal validation. I’ve lost close to 4 pounds since Monday. That’s fucking ridiculous. Normal healthy weight loss is about 1 pound a week you have to starve yourself to achieve 2 a week. This is great. Running a 10k tomorrow hopefully the lack of carbs doesn’t hinder me.
Do you have a program you’re following this? Zero calories or FMD? I’ll be doing one after NYE so I’m interested.
I looked up a lot of information in /r/fasting. Pretty much drink water and keep your magnesium, potassium and salt intake up. I have fasting drops for that. I don’t have any “plan” really. But it’s pretty simple.
Yea i have a long list of podcasts to take in over the next couple weeks. I have just heard there's proper ways to start eating again afterwards.
I’ve read that you need to reintroduce food slowly (and keto food) at the beginning. I’ll try to find you a link
He says on day 19 he had too much salt and went in to stage 1 hypertension and could have died if he ate anything. Sounds fun
Do what makes you happy but we really have an extremely different definition of the bolded. Not eating for 30-40 days to lose weight goes way beyond crazy.
Again if it makes the person happy more power to them. Not for me to judge them. But for me that sounds crazy. There is all kind of shit millions do that I wouldn’t that are beyond crazy. But, IF sounds crazy to me.
I’ve done several 3 day fasts and one week long fast since I’ve been intermittently fasting and it’s really not hard at all. Barring various health issues a normal person can fast for three days without issue, especially if one has experience doing it intermittently or even being in ketosis on Keto. Stay hydrated and do normal activities. Anyone interested in further reading on it I strongly recommend By Dr. Jason Fung. I read it when I first started fasting and it helped me tremendously.
I don’t doubt you know what you’re talking about nor that this is true. But, in my uneducated opinion I’d think it would be moderate lengths of fasting not the extreme ones. Now I am not saying fasting for 20 days is easy but imo it seems like some are looking for a quick “easy” fix to being overweight. Changing the way you live is difficult. Eating right and working out is not easy so saying I am going to not eat might appear to be a quick fix. I just wonder if that is sustainable for the long term. Just my opinion.
we’re often having 2 different conversations ITT: weight loss and health. Lots of ppl not in need of weight loss fast for health benefits. As for those in need of weight loss, I’ve always supported losing however you can and then finding a sustainable life through better choices. A lot of these diet methods are not sustainable.
My post was because of the picture that arsenal posted. It lead me to the reddit fasting board. Most of what I saw was people who seemed to be extremely overweight using fasting to lose the weight. I hate the term “diet” because people usually attach a negative connotations to it, any way one eats is their “diet”. Sweets and beer are my vices learning how to eliminate them which keto is helping do is what I need. After a bit I’ll add more fruits like you suggested. My run did suck this morning. I think my body isn’t ready for this hopefully it will be better in a bit. Right now low impact shit is definitely better.
I'm an idiot. Went to a work dinner party this week and ordered what I thought was going to be fairly healthy. Apparently, I need to learn what tagliatelle is because I had no idea it was pasta and I didn't want to send it back so I ate it. Checked my piss strips and had completely knocked myself out of ketosis in a single night after reading the highest levels for over a week.
