Anyone in there on keto and lift? I haven't been serious about lifting in about ten years...maybe more. I know I'll be sore as fuck. I'm not sure on what I'll be doing, but I will take it easy. I'm closing in on 40 and don't want to hurt myself...biggest concern.With that I'm excited to see where I'm at in a few months. It's time to snap back.

This may be obvious, but avoid any sugar-free candies with malitol. I wasn't thinking while shopping, grabbed a bag with 1 net carb, hammered it all on the way home, and now it's nonstop ass flaps and green apple splats.
Does the portion you plan on eating have keep you under 20 net carbs for the day? If yes, go for it. If no, don’t. That’s true for any food.

I do partial, limited myself to one meal or snack for the day. Done dairy free before and it’s pretty easy to kick for me.
im about a week in, I havnt really being keeping up with my weight, but i feel infinitely better. I dont get hangry and i dont just crash like i used to my shits are exemplary now, so im assuming ive had some sort of gluten thing my whole life

Sold a vehicle to some nice folks who brought in chocolate Carmel cookies to show thanks. Wasn't even tempted. Rest of the staff crushed them. Pretty sure this will be my first ever holiday season where I won't gain a lbs . Keto is a helluva thing.
I didn’t enjoy my cheat meal. Had a pizza and some wings and realized after that I only felt full. My healthy food could have gave me the same feeling.
I was sitting next to a bag of fun size candy bars. Housed like 20 of those fuckers. Paying for it with a headache and a stomach ache. Sugar is the devil.
My body eventually adapted to the constant risk of loose shits after a while but I also really make it a point to eat fibrous foods. A lot of spinach, broccoli, and avocado. It made a big difference. I know a lot of people on the keto Reddit page supplement fiber but I haven't tried. But for the most part my body got used it, unless like others have said earlier, I use just a touch too much MCT oil.
A lady on YouTube said you should have cake on your birthday. You just shouldn’t have cake for everyone in the office’s birthday I thought that was well said.

Same thing if you go off any “diet” and over eat. I think wanting “crap” food is just a mind thing. I grilled wings, thighs, asparagus and sautéed some spinach and mushrooms. I’ve been eating good on this can’t imagine wanting to go back to crap eating. Only thing I miss is fruit but for now berries are meeting that need. Once I learn how to make keto friendly seeets I will be good. Switching to Bourbon from beer will take some getting used to
