I don’t think everyone will be disappointed. Sure, some will, that’s 100% unavoidable, but Arya fulfilling that prophecy will hook more people than you think.
Oh I think it will hook them. And yea I know it’s unavoidable that 100% of folks will love the ending, that goes for every show. But I think if this article gets around and it’s put in people’s brains, then it helps somewhat. Only if it becomes true. If it doesn’t become true, oh well. But at this point she is 1 out of 3 who will kill her
I need to get something off my massive chest. Varys was one of my favorite characters and even though his(?) death was inevitable, I am in mourning nonetheless
My prediction for episode 6 is that Jon gets killed in Kings Landing like the other Starks. Yes I know he is Targ but the show creators are really trying to wrap this up in what they think is the most shocking way.
That’s certainly not where I thought Arya’s story arc would lead to but at least it would be somewhat interesting. It would make some thematic sense that the true hero of the story is the person who doesn’t value thrones and politics at all. Becoming “no one” is what allows you to act in the interest of the realm is a nice idea because everyone else has an agenda no matter how pure it is. Jon is a pretty selfless dude but in the end it seems like he just wants a wife and that’s an agenda that corrupts his ability to truly act selflessly.
However, it really doesn’t make sense because Arya didn’t finish her transition into becoming no one. She chose to be Arya Stark and pursue vengeance using her training. I never really understood that tbh but I may just not remember that well. It seemed to me like she got herself into a situation that she couldn’t escape, she was truly destined to be “no one” or die. Why did J’haqen or whatever not just kill her when she went outside of the rules?
where are you getting the wife thing from? his entire motive for 8.5 seasons was destroying the threat to the north now that he's accomplished that, he's honoring his commitment to Dany
People are way off base predicting Hot Pie as king. It’s been clearly foreshadowed that he will be King H’ghar’s hand, and patch face will be the new master of whispers.
My prediction: Arya kills Dany, exhausted falls back into a chair ala Chronicles of riddick. Camera pans back and it's the throne. Credits.
Tyrion was absolutely ready to die with/for his brother, he lets Arya kill him and take his face. Then Arya kills Dany as Tyrion
At this point I’m rooting for the final episode to be nothing but Dany riding around on Drogon burning every last character to a crisp for 90 minutes and then fade to black. The ensuing internet meltdown would be worth it.
Scoot over and make room on the bench. I was rooting for the Night King until Arya hit the hail mary. I've given up on these guys giving us a good ending so I'm rooting for the one that makes the most ppl freak out
Yeah, no dialogue or anything. Just Dany flying around laughing her tits off the whole time torching everyone. Even Ghost and Tormund show up just to get blasted. The reaction videos of people smashing their TVs and making death threats against the show runners would be glorious.
Final shot is a top-down shot slowly zooming out as dany laughs and dies so they get their breaking bad ending
I'm not about to read spoilers, but curious to know where the leaks came from and how accurate they have been to date. What kind of asshole leaks these things?
That's kind of sad. Just curious, but why have you read them? I haven't been a fan of the way the plot has developed (or hasn't developed) these past 2 seasons, but still have too much invested in the characters to spoil it.
Someone on a podcast put my thoughts into one phrase that sums up everything for me: foreshadowing doesn’t equal character development
After 4 I got so mad at how shitty the plot had gotten that i wanted to see if it would get better. I'm actually pretty glad I looked. Has made the ongoing diarrhea avalanche much easier to take.
Haha gotcha. As a fellow book reader, I respect the size and girth of your throner. I guess I just haven't been that mad. Disappointed, sure. Was there any indication of the source of the leaks?
Dany taking King’s Landing then executing Jon for betraying her would’ve been a much better heel turn than her just seeing the Red Keep and losing her shit on a bunch of innocents.
I read the for the same reason as TwoPoor. He was my inspiration. I’m hate watching the show at this point and I can’t wait for it to finally be over and out of my life.
Her revealing that she was mad and evil the entire time and was just masquerading would’ve been fucking awesome in this scenario
I had to spoil it for myself so I didn’t kick my dog or do something rash when the finale ultimately sucks I made a good decision
