The close of the episode was very interesting

 

End of this episode was weird af. And who the hell was Jody or whatever her name was that was with Ed at the end? And was that the music teacher at the bar too?

 

Jody is the music teacher's wife and yes that was him at the bar.

Maybe we will get some wild foursome action in season 3. We have missed out on a lot of sex in S2.

 

Streep's character creeps me out so much. Mainly because she so closely reminds me of my own grandmother

The writing this season is bad

 

I always come back to the fact that if they had just told the fucking truth immediately after the accident, none of them would be facing any trouble (including Bonnie, who, at worst, gets a slap on the wrist).

For some reason I thought last night was the finale... Needless to say I had a WTF reaction at the end. FF past credits and we have one more episode.

S2 is no where near as interesting or good as S1.

But parts do shine.

Bonnie speaking to her mom at the end was the highlight of the EP and maybe the season to this point.

Renata going off on her husband has been good with the exception of the jail scene where she rants about being broke.

Ed has to break right? Good lord the strength it must take to be on a Masturbation and bucket list and yet turn it down.

 

Yea... this season seems like a big budget acting class. And that's it.

 

This show is based off a book right? I would assume they only had enough to do a single season and now they are creating shit because they had a hit and the studio wanted more seasons

 

Correct. Season 1 is the book, but parts of season 2 (Bonnie and her parents) are apparently in the book. But everything else is made up... it's interesting that the story about Andrea Arnold came out late last week and how the season is in shambles. HBO realizes it's not going to end well, but at least they got Meryl.
