Spoiler wife just finished order of the pheonix, was listening to How did this get made one day and Zooks spoils Dumbledore’s death best part is it really doesn’t change the reveal of Hallows
I love Phantom Menace but I understand why people hate it. A lot of it is nostalgia for me. Grew up with the prequels and have a lot of love for them. Can understand why people hate a lot of the dialogue and Jar Jar. Saw it in theaters with my dad like 6 times that summer and have great memories with it. Nostalgia is power.
SugarShaun the more I think about it, and I’ve thought about it a lot recently. My biggest gripe with TLJ is it forces Hard Sci-Fi into soft Sci-Fi, the moment he has the mouse by the string, or whatever he says I like Star Wars because I can roll with anything, flip side is I loved Mass Effect because they overthought everything. I like it to swing one way or the other
My wife is surprisingly a Star Wars nerd.. Her, and her brother my BIL grew up hardcore SW fans. She was skeptical about an interest in a series about a Manadalorion.. I told her to trust me. We binge watched the first 3 episodes... she's totally hooked... she immediately says "Whens episode 4??" I'm like, I thought you had no interest?? I get the fuck you face...
thats not what I’m saying at all. It’s fine to have issues with any of them because they all have issues to some degree. I’m referring to the toxicity from the vocal minority that goes into it looking for issues so they can shit talk it because it makes them feel smart/important/cool.
I feel like Star Wars fans view it as a right of passage to shit on anything that isn't the original 3 movies. If you like any of the other movies then you're clearly not a fan.
From some of the things I have read their pre order sales are down a lot compared to the previous two films. So maybe they are pushing this one a bit more.
$247,966,675 in US & Canada. So $200 mil would be fine, TFA was all kinds of pent-up SW nerd energy. And TLJ was $220,009,584.
Drop a teaser trailer featuring baby Yoda stomping on Palpatine and it’d top a billion opening weekend easy.
Team OT Team PT even though they’re poorly written Team ST because they’re high budget space operas that we fell in love with Team Rogue One because it’s damn near perfection Team Solo and I’m not sure why but I literally just watched it and maybe it just cleared a hurdle of low expectations because of you guys Team SW video games no matter how shitty some of them are Team start Rebels or Clone Wars soon and you guys need to choose for me
I watched TLJ last night for the first time since the theatre. it was more enjoyable than I remembered
I walked out on opening night very conflicted. Saw it the next night and liked it more. By the time I saw it five times (same as I saw TFA) it was my third favorite
Not to start a another big debate but I've watched it 5-6 times and the more I watch it the more I hate it.
Tailgating before football game and I have the ability to watch multiple games on the TV. What’s on? Mandalorian all the way
Star Wars was my rock growing up and I'll see it opening week but I'm sad I'm not more excited about it
So I’ve heard this theory in the last couple days that the mandalorian is eventually going to take off his helmet and the big twist is going to be that it’s actually a woman under the helmet. I dismissed it the first time I read it but I’ve seen it a few other places now too. This can’t be a legit theory right?
