Still coughing and still have a sore throat Not sure what to do besides lock myself in my room playing games
Think they say only contract medical professionals if you have an uncontrollable fever and/or trouble breathing
I got an email from one of the apps that you can now elect to just have them drop it at your front door.
justified is pretty great. despite being set in kentucky it could have easily been set in my home county. also boyd crowder is one of the best characters in tv history.
Let's face it, there can't be a total shutdown of restaurants. Unless those food supplies going to the restaurants are somehow diverted to the public. There just isn't enough food supply for people to buy and store lock down for a few weeks The question is, are delivery drivers and cooks subjecting themselves to contracting the disease?
Obv it needs a host. Idk if food allows it to exist/be more easily transmitted than say a box or a counter top.
yeah I’m good just the cough and sore throat, figure the best I can do is just stay home and chill unless it gets worse
Been hacking up orange phlegm the past two mornings. Felt under the weather but assuming it is allergies due to pollen falling the past four days. Never had orange sputum. Anything to be concerned about.
Dr. Fauci said on that CNN town hall that they did a study of the virus on different surfaces like cardboard and it did not appear to stay active for very long. Also said that the likelihood of there being enough contagion on the surface in the first place is really low.
My wife had orange phlegm as well during her “strep throat” ordeal about a month ago. She looked it up on google and said the orange color is likely due to nasal bleeding...
Yeah. There was strep going around my sons school this past week. Figured I caught a mild case of that. Between the pollen, flu and strep going around, and the virus, it makes things highly confusing if you are sick.
Chances the same twats that are going to be full On dooms day panic in a week or so are the dumb people going to packed bars right now ?
Yeah we’ve been in the same boat, wife got strep that’s had a dry cough with it for weeks. Kids and I have all been fighting some mysterious cold for damn near a month, who knows what we’ve got...
This is such a low concern right now, it hardly registers, but anyone else wondering even a little on how this impacts CFB? Let’s assume a semblance of normalcy doesn’t return until May. Everyone is out spring ball at that point. You’re not having kids stick around all summer, so chances are fall camps extend into mid September and everyone drops some non conference games. Perhaps to help G5 schools, one game is used as an exhibition?
Surprised it took this long but I don’t know if they are having testing issues in Spain as well. Spain seems to be on the verge of being Italy in the next 48-72 hours and they seem pretty far behind on the closures. we need to get our shit together and order everything except essentials closed/cancelled/postponed.
I would think they'd have a special timeframe to make up spring practice or maybe have a little bit longer fall practice schedule. I'm not 100% sure there will be a cfb season though.
I imagine that unless fall camp gets interrupted, it will look pretty similar this fall. I do wonder about attendance though.
FUCK. Is there a good chance entire baseball season is cancelled? And if so, how would it work with players contracts? Do we still pay them?
Not to be a Debbie Downer, but nothing is happening until Labor Day, at best. Make no major summmer plans, lots of fall sports will be cancelled. Schools and business is gonna be wrecked. This shit is massive and will last a while before society gets back to “normal.” People will be decimated financially because of this. I foresee 10-15% unemployment. Lots of small businesses will go under. A big business or two will as well. I’m thinking, if we’re lucky, in 2-3 years we’ll be stable. But a lot can happen between now and then. We need to rely on society not crumbling and people maintaining calm.
my guess would be that it depends on insurance coverage and the way contracts are written. I know in hockey if there is a lockout for example, players don’t get paid salaries. However, the top players started structuring most of their pay for big contract as signing bonuses that do get paid. Obviously this is different than a lockout and things are different sport to sport but for something this large scale, id imagine it depends on insurance coverage.
I think one of the reasons why this bitch of a virus is so scary is because so much of it is unprecedented. I'm sure the professional baseball players will be fine as far as finances are concerned. He'll, my union is going to release $ from our disaster fund to help us out, I'm sure they will work something out
I know the expectation is it will return there, but China is returning to work and some semblance of normalcy after 9 weeks
I'm trying not to be doomsday but you look at what Italy is going through right now, and where we might be headed, trying to think about when things will get back to normal short circuits my brain.
yeah that’s where I am confused. While it raged in China last month, the US carried on like normal. now it’s getting bad here, and it magically is getting back to normal in China? I think the China stuff is purely propaganda, but I have nothing to prove it
Even if China somehow managed to eradicate it from the however many billion people there, doesn’t it just take one sick person going back to normal routine to start the fire again?
once they stop quarantining themselves and everyone goes back to interacting in public it’ll come back, has to if we hear of 0 new cases after that we know they are lying
Buddy told me he’s not social distancing cause he’s not at risk. He also told me I should isolate because I have a young son. He prefaced those statements with “I understand things”. No, no I don’t believe you do.
