Not to mention the 21,000 people that "voluntarily" aren't taking a paycheck. I wish someone would explain how 21,000 people decided to voluntarily do that.
Remember my friend from St. Louis who got turned away for a test despite a 103.7 fever and difficulty breathing? His temperature hit 106.1 today and they finally gave him a test. Positive, obviously. They sent him home with a prescription fever reducer and ephedrine to assist with breathing.
He's texting me, he is obviously very ill and it is possible that he mistyped, but he did indeed have 103.7 a couple days ago.
People were saying it was a hoax or that everything was exaggerated even after the NBA shut down. They seriously believed a bunch of billionaire owners were okay with halting the season and costing themselves tons of money just to hurt the economy and subsequently Trump. There's no logical way to arrive at that position and be able to function in society.
Just embrace it once and for all. You’re the steak reference guy, I’m the “anything butthole” guy. I’m long since retired from the butthole stuff game, but I get tagged for it relentlessly. Thank god DUCKMOUTH took up the mantle so intensely over the last year or so. Roll with it, babe. Bite the soap, Truman. Make them look like dicks.
Holy fuck I couldn’t imagine the chills and body aches at 107. I think my highest ever was 104 and they put in the hospital for a day....can’t wrap my mind around 107.
One week from today: "Coronavirus Patients On Board Carnival Cruise Hospital Ship Stricken With Norovirus and Novel Foot Fungus."
Think i had 101 with the standard flu a few years back and it was pretty much the worst I’ve ever felt. Can’t even imagine 103
Why are you surprised by this? When the option is cut the current workforce vs. re-neg on post-grad hires...
Then by your definition hunting with a rifle or a bow and arrow qualify as sports. Same as horseshoes. And F1 and NASCAR. All are activities.
Correct me if I am wrong but aren’t some Drs suggesting to let a fever run it’s course with this virus? The fever is the body’s natural way to slow the spread of the virus as it attacks it. Isn’t fighting the fever (when it is t 107) counter productive to what the body is doing to fight it?
Out of curiosity I googled highest temp ever....115 F. from a guy that had a heat stroke and he lived.
I hit 105.4 °F when I had an SMVT (blood clot in the superior mesenteric vein that transports blood away from the intestines), my bowels stopped working, and I was close to going septic. Worst I’ve ever felt, and I’ve had kidney stones and a ruptured appendix. The rigors when my temperature peaked were so bad I thought I was going to crack my back molars.
the body is protecting itself at all cost. Like shutting heat off to your extremities in severe cold. For some, the end results (brain damage) would not be a level of survival they are willing to accept.
