Yea I went on a buying spree after his soph year that he lit it up. Mostly base cards and #'d short prints. Got scammed on an rpa on a fb group transaction that luckily paypal reversed in my direction. Not so lucky on another 1000 card gamecock rpa and rookie lot for $300. PayPal gave me back $100. Kind of lost my fervor for it again after those events
Agreeing to send such and such and get something else. I got an empty top loader in a cardboard shipment envelope for the mahomes. Then "my wife was supposed to send via ups, let me check with her" or you got what you were supposed to bro. My advice is to always goods and services on paypal for any transaction. It sucks for sellers too, as they will sell a hobby box and get it returned when buyer doesnt get hits they wanted. People are pieces of shit man
There is a scammers group on facebook. You can join and search names, or ask for vouchers in whatever group you join. Had probably 80 great transactions and 2 sour
What are some of the best baseball boxes to buy? Just looking at picking up a few and opening. Not looking at getting anyone card in particular
If you want something soon, I really like the Gypsy Queen cards. If you can wait til summer I’d say get Topps/Bowman Chrome
I don’t know on the cost, but the main difference in topps/Bowman is Bowman is younger guys while Topps is the current.
Topps Chrome is just the chrome/very nice version of the Topps cards, along with high quality autos. Gypsy Queen is an affordable set of cards, comparable to your Topps or old school Upper Deck. They have a very cool look to them, they're on cardboard so the value of base isn't that great, and if you can get auto's/relics they are nice. Also heard the $20 retail blasters have been hitting
I've been selling off a bunch of overpriced cards and dumping it into the stock market. Blows me away how strong the card market was while the stock market was tanking a month ago.

I sold a Clyde Edwards-Helaire Hyper Prizm from Draft Picks /75 for $255 on eBay. Looked at the prices of Contenders Draft hobby boxes and they are $300 for pre-order. Wondering if I should just sell mine on eBay when they release since I pre-ordered it for $200.

I've been out of the card game a while, but my friend was telling me he collected 03 Topps basketball and said he has about 10 LeBron rookies from that set and how they are going for $250-300 and over $700 for graded 9 or 10. Went back and found I have 2 LeBron rookies, one is the Topps but the Gold foil version. Also have the MVP rookie which seem to go for $125 to 250 ungraded and up to $300 for a graded 9. Thinking I should get these graded. Is PSA still the route to go or is BGS the route I should take? Edit - I also was collecting signed red wings young guns card when I was younger and had access to getting wings autographs. I also just realized Zetterberg young gun card is going for $200+ ungraded and Datsyuk is going for $125+ . Both of mine are signed, so I take it they probably don't grade signed cards, or is that an option
PSA 9 LeBron Topps are going for $750+. PSA 10 LeBron Topps were going for $1,700-2k a couple weeks ago but there have been a couple that went for $4k this week. No clue if they were paid for. Your friend could be sitting on a nice pile of cash rn. Grading is a tricky one right now. I know PSA is back up and running on a limited basis but they're really backed up. Their site says up to a 4-week delay in orders. They're also only accepting orders for cards valued over $500 so the MVP wouldn't make the cut. I dislike Beckett's slabs and their grading overall but some people love it. SGC is up-and-coming and might actually be the best graders. PSA will hold the most clout if you score a 9 or 10. If you're wanting to add the most value to them, go with PSA. But be prepared to wait...a long time. SGC would likely have the cards back to you within a few weeks if you go that route.
Spot on. Prizm Draft will be hot right now because it’s one of the few things out but once more products come out it will be an afterthought. And once Contenders and Contenders Optic come out, forget about Prizm Draft. Nobody will be collecting it.

Local card shop does breaks on IG live and he linked to another person that was breaking old wax box basketball cards "looking for Jordans". Dude was selling 1991 Fleer and 1991 Hoops for $40 a box. Lol I bought one a few months ago at $10 and sort of regretted it. $40??

I watched it. I regret not going higher on the white sox. Hit a Robert redemption and thome 1/5. Worth over 1k on resale. Astros guy has to be happy 3 Yordan Alvarez rc autos including a 1/10. Then you got people who paid $400 for the Yankees and $550 for the angels getting shutout. Total gamble.
Any retailers (Target, Meijer, Walmart) sell Bowman cards? Or is it something that I need to look online for in times like this
