If you read Greenlee’s comments it’s pretty evident that he (Greenlee) used the word and Pearman told him not to, while repeating the word. Which is obviously still not good.
For context, Dabo gets hammered by Clemson fans for allowing coach's kids on the team. Dabo's theory is that he trusts them to help cultivate the locker room. Tuttle and DJ Greenlee were only on the team because of their dads. Kinda ironic that these were the 2 involved. DJ Greenlee's dad is an assistant coach and is pretty good friends with Pearman. I can't see Pearman getting fired due to their relationship, but I could see him resigning just given the climate of not wanting to be a distraction. The n-word and GD are the only 2 words that aren't allowed on the practice field. Pearman, obviously, should not have used the word when correcting DJ to stop using the word. It will be interesting to see how this is handled.
It's shocking to me as well, but Clemson players (and Dabo) do say some curse words every now and then.
yeah I can remember when Hugh freeze said his only vice was every now and then he chews some “tobacca”
I was wondering when he'd start getting calls from recruits parents. I knew when we finally heard from dabo, the calls have been coming in.
I don't get this. He can make change through his players and not his words? Players like the former one that accused a coach of dropping the N-bomb? His players may like him but for his known beliefs, them committing to dabo is the equivalent to Hillbillies in Shelby County, on food stamps voting for Trump.
Let’s be real. Players are to be used and that makes boosters happy. That’s college sports. Shut up and play...maybe go to class...idgaf.
Id imagine a not small number of our season ticket holders are telling their friends they’ll cancel their tickets over such anti American garbage. #respectthetroops
He's insufferable. He's from Florida and got the job a few years ago and has been hated by every Auburn and Bama fan since. Super self important and a hot take artist so I wouldnt be shocked to see him on ESPN eventually
