Here's one for now. Northern supercell (above) produced a tornado then the southern one latched onto a boundary. Had some funnels east of devil's tower (maybe a tornado), then produced a fairly strong tornado on the western slopes of the black hills, then dropped golf ball to baseballs across rapid into the badlands
Thank God that tornado hit where it did. Had it hit a town/structures... Not good. Had a fairly strong couplet
Funny you say that. That tree damage and location reminded me of the 1987 Teton-Yellowstone, Wyoming F4 tornado which... subsequently caught fire in 1988. https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.wyofile.com/teton-yellowstone-tornado/amp/
I'm guessing that area was probably hit by pine beetles too? So just laying some dead fuels on the ground if that was the case
I know Brad pretty well. Good dude, and has great instincts as a chaser. Been trying to do a day trip chase with him for a couple years now, but our schedules haven't lined up to make it work yet.
I really hope they clear that area out. I feel like they're usually pretty good about having logging companies come in and clear things out, but we'll see.
