What I find most interesting/intriguing about the SEC (particularly this year) is the influx of extremely talented coaches has made the traditional weaker opponents on the schedule much, much tougher outs. There are more teams at the top that can compete with Kentucky for the SEC Championship every year and almost every team in the league can beat anyone. There will surely be a team or two that disappoints this year, but I like the balance of the league. Should make for a really compelling season, assuming COVID doesn't completely derail things.
Well that’s not a good sign. Really hope we can find a way to finish the season but it really doesn’t sound great for the chances of that.
Especially with multiple games a week. You have a key guy get COVID and have to sit a week or two and you lose games over it, your NCAA Tournament bid could be toast if you don't win your conference tournament.
or if they contact trace and say one guy was in contact with 3 teammates. Now you’re down 4 guys and totally fuck your rotations up. It’s gonna be a weird season. And I can promise if we actually make it long enough that we get a tournament, there will 100% be a team that gets screwed by having a bunch of kids sitting for major games because of COVID/contact tracing.
NCAA should have just said conference games only, conferences need to find a way to do a bubble, expand the tournament for one season to account for lack of non-conference play.
We are the worst program in the conference. It was 100% worth it and hopefully this keeps anyone else from hiring him. We weren’t making the tourney this year anyway.
Speaking from experience, the long dick of the NCAA doesn’t give a fuck about your self-imposed sanctions.
Just kidding. They gave the allegations to the eagle and had it fly off and drop them into the ocean. The real truth is too exciting for some
“Even by the secretive, cover-your-ass, obstruct-and-obfuscate standards of college athletics crisis management, Auburn stands out as the most craven of schools. Its motto might as well be Lie and Deny. It sure isn’t Truth and Transparency.”
I don't want to get into a grievance-off, but Forde sourced the allegations in Nutt's complaint against Ole Miss/Bjork/Freeze. He finished interviewing Bjork and called Nutt to tell him what was said about him.
It's this. Forde comes down hard on schools that commit violations. He can be pretty sanctimonious about it, but that's about it. I dont think he's in the Wolken or Dodd territory
