We kicked tubs out and promptly won an SEC and national championship shortly after. I think we made the right call.
ummm Allen High School doesn't just hire any person to be their HBC this is at worst a lateral move from Clemson OC/Arky HC
Dabo's coaching tree continues to expand in Louisiana/Texas. Napier, Terry Bowden, and now Chad at a major high school.
Sorta surprised Dabo didn’t throw him a lifeline to be an “analyst” or something like that after he said he was one hell of a coach.
He wanted to be closer to his kids (son is at TCU (good luck with Allen HS kids, OU) and his daughter is a recruiting person at UNT) Allen HS pays about $126K for their Head Football Coach, but the job is very undesirable in the TXHSFB circles because their admin are very hands on and they have very high expectations. The last 2 HCs walked away from the job due to the stress of it and that includes Kyler Murray's HC.
He brought us the spread and gave us Deshaun Watson which was awesome up until recently, you can’t blame us for blindly endorsing him back then. I blame the slaw contingent for ruining this elite high school coach
He hired a HS staff and our DC took a job at a Jr High in Tennessee after we told him to fuck off. He constantly threw his older players under the bus in pressers and kept talking about what he was building and how we had to recruit our way out of this mess, and never took accountability for he and his staffs horrendous in-game coaching decisions. We ran the same goddamn defensive schemes every game and even got called out by San Jose State’s OC by saying they kept waiting on us to change our coverages, but we never did so they ran the same shit over and over. He honestly never deserves to coach at the collegiate level again. Fuck him, fuck Watson, and fuck Clemson for creating them. God bless
Would have thought the pay would be higher than that. Auburn High pays around $140k and has never won a title in football.
yeah yeah spin it however you want i'm going to believe in the coach that is currently the HC of the best HS team in Texas, and not the fan of the team who immediately won multiple SEC games following the firing of said coach
High $50’s if I had to guess. Football coaches here only have to teach drivers ed or like one bullshit study class. The small sports coaches make maybe $2,000 a month and only during the season.
Or did Chad take this job to ensure his son would get his transfer to tcu since he would have players that Linc would obviously want?
If I didn't know better, I would assume you were referencing Gus Malzahn's offensive strategies. They were a match made in heaven. Gus would have been fired 3 years ago without Kevin Steele. Can't even blame him for trying the coup at this point. He was surrounded by idiots on the offensive side of the ball.
It's obvious Chad laid a great foundation at Ark and SMU. Immediate success after he left. Hell, Clemson won 2 of 3 natties when he left.
Booster clubs are pretty limited in Alabama as far as what they are allowed to do on the books. The school system is growing like crazy though.
