Randomly watched the sex/milking table ep at 4am on FX without ever having seen this show before. I knew of Lil Dicky previously but never really a fan (don't dislike him, just never cared) but that ep got me intrigued because of how out there it was. Binged the show today and liked it quite a bit. Whoever wrote the bit about magicians/bunny/love deserves some recognition.
The call back of the milking table at the cookout a few episodes later made me laugh harder than I’ve laughed at anything on TV in a long time.
Big fan. The flow just isn’t the same now, though. Pack bowls, Mac Pro, chatting with a black hoe, that want a #Washington Football Team sack, call that bitch Orakpo.
In a YouTube hole today and just saw this comment on a video that I love. Chris Whitehead 1 year ago I mean, lil dicky is just Eminem if his parents loved each other
I was really relieved when the show didn't suck. We waited so long and built it up so much, the potential for a letdown was huge and he delivered
So Hard has a lot of samples and I get fooled a lot out in public. Ok, they’re plying LD mix tape on the speakers..? Nope, just the original instrumental. Some of them I didn’t know were samples. Learned about this from a bagel shop speaker this morning.
Watching Pillow Talking video again. Shit is hilarious and I always catch something new in brain's mannerisms and the background.
That's actually what led me to rewatching the regular video. The reactions to his Sway freestyle are really great, too.
I watched S1 and it was too "cringe-based" for me. Like holy shit, something embarrassing is happening haha. And it's really just white boy "Atlanta". Dave Bird can still rap like a mf though
It sure started that way but they hit their stride with the Gata ep. I thought it was great. Anyone not watching is missing out imo.
