They do a family style brunch and everything they serve is A+. There’s usually live music going too although it’s a little hit or miss
When did Woodrow’s becoming clubby? It’s weird in here. They took all sports related stuff off the walls.
The Woodrow’s chain definitely shifted their model from local bar to let’s attract people from the burbs who wanna have a good time
That’s what I said. It used to be covered with LSU stuff. They had no sports on. I told the bartender the LSU game was on. She was like oh ok I’ll see what I can do. Just loud club/techno was on.
Yeah the one on Shepherd added the “mini bowling thing” in the back in 2019 to stand out from other bars on Washington.... still seems like a waste. Didn’t stop the LSU crowd from going in 2019 for football but they had to block of sections of the parking lot to accommodate newly lost seats given the season. Still an LSU bar as I went when we lost to Michigan in the NCAA tournament but the vibes a little different. I can walk to LW white oak and my best man can walk to LW shepherd so we alternate and the “visitor” picks up the home team once or twice a week
Also, had a nice Friday bender of Berry Hill, Feagans, underdogs, fat boots, Buffalo Wild Wings. I advise no one do the same. BWW on Washington at 1:15 is a special place. A family with a 5 year old girl were finishing their meal, another guys painkillers really kicked in and he was asleep on the bar, but Neon Moon brought the rest of the motley crew together. Tried to convince my buddy I was with we should take the 6:40 flight to NOLA but to no avail. Finally recovers 48 hours later
We tried a few different things. The wings were really good. The sampler. Calamari. A few espetadas and sauces. I think we had the seafood platter. I can't remember. It was all good though.
