In orange. She puts her hands on her vagina and starts talking about her powerful triangle. Did not hate.
Just did a wilpers 90min endurance... Holy hell. But 1500 calories burnt ain't bad, time to go negate that ride
Two new Peloton strength instructors announced today: https://www.pelobuddy.com/new-coach-callie-gullickson-rad-lopez/
I will be curious their long term strength play is. Seems like the first will be a big Barre addition with the ballet background. Really hoping to get something like the Tonal down the line. Although supposedly Peloton’s product development is pretty shaky to say the least.
Just did my first ride. Did the 20 minute beginner ride with Tunde. also did a 20 minute FTP. Didn’t feel real tired after the first ride. Definitely tired now. Thought it would be a little easier to unclip, lol.
Won’t they just use the acquisition of Cybex to fuel that with all the strength equipment under that roof? I’m sure they had been planning an at home idea.
I just retested today. I’m gassed. I need to pace better. I think I go too hard min 5-15 and then falter in the last 5.
I never saw where they acquired Cybex. They closed on their deal with Precor in April but most thought that was more of a play for commercial space and logistics as opposed to at home plays. Other than that the last acquisition was a voice tech startup.
I’m thinking my plan is do a 45min PZE ride tonight, then take tomorrow off, and Friday re-do the FTP test. When you retake the test does it show you the new results vs the old?
I have the Powerbeats pro and realized I had the volume turned way down on the headphones themselves. I turned them up and fixed this issue. Not sure what headphones you guys have and if you already tried this but if not it might just be that simple of a fix.
There’s not really that setting on the AirPods that I can find. I tried to trick them by setting it all the way up on the phone then moving to the peloton and that didn’t work.
I'm doing the beginners course. It says to take a break day 3. Should I? Or should I do a different beginners ride? I kinda want to keep going, but I'm sure rest/recovery is vital.
I’d say continue but it’s obviously about how you feel more than anything. Recovery rides are great to when you don’t feel like doing much but want to ride.
I went ahead and did a different beginners ride. First time out of the saddle. Was an enjoyable ride.
Not on Peloton unless you download results and calculate yourself. MPaceLine will do it for you but that may be under premium features. Been a while since I used it.
Name names. I think I choose my favorite instructors based on people that know the right amount of talking necessary during rides
Irene is the one I’m on now. Cody never shut up either. I’m still in my beginner program. I wish I could sort by number of words or something.
I like Emma Lovewell, Olivia, Hannah Frankson and Tunde as people that don't talk too much. Jess King, Kendall, Alex, and Leanne bring fun and energy without talking too much.
her classes tend to be tough as fuck. My biggest complaint with some of my favorite teachers (Olivia, Leanne, Hannah Frankson, and sometimes Jess King), is that their "default" music for rides is weird techno / EDM music. They don't seem to incorporate cool genres or decades into their tougher classes like AT, Tunde, and Kendall do.
My current June 2021 power rankings are: 1. Kendall 2. Emma 3. Leanne 4. Dennis 5. Olivia Honorable Mention goes to Jess. I slept on her as an instructor - maybe because some of the classic rock and 90s rock she plays is among my genre favorites, but she's pretty good and no nonsense.
My rankings hardly change but: 1) Denis 2) Emma 3) Olivia 4) Hanna F. 5) Leanne Honorable mentions to Ben, Jess Sims and Bradley. Strength would be Chase although do a fair amount of Emma and Olivia. However really like Callie’s core class I just took. Going to do a lot of her. Yoga Denis or Aditi.
I used to be fan just can’t get into her anymore other than the occasional pop punk rides. Probably attributed to the controversy during COVID. Anyways finished build your power zone other than the FTP warmup (which I replace for a five minute one every time). Up 11 points, pretty solid.
What’s the controversy? I started out loving Kendall but I think it’s been a month or so since my last ride with her. She can be a bit much. Better in small doses.
From her Instagram she is the biggest try to be influencer in the company from what most think. At least up there with Robin. I guess at the height of COVID in the fall she got a sponsored trip to Mexico from some resort that was struggling. Talked about how needed it was and how hard the year has been. Even though she was breaking CDC guidelines. And initially she didn’t reveal it was sponsored which I guess is a huge no-no in that space. After she got called out instead of owning it she attacked/deleted comments on IG for questioning her.
Just finished day 4 of Crush Your Core. She keeps saying it gets easier so she better not be lying to me
