PENSACOLA, Fla. (AP) — A Florida man accused of torturing his girlfriend's 2-year-old daughter by burning her, shooting her with a BB gun and wearing a werewolf mask to scare her has killed himself. An Escambia County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman says 37-year-old Andrew Bennett Ross Celauis died at a hospital Tuesday.
Good riddance On a lighter note and from the Random thread: Dillon Shane Webb, 23, of Lake City, Florida, has been charged with misdemeanor counts of possession of obscene material and resisting arrest without violence following an incident on Highway 90 on May 5. Cliffs on his crime? An I eat ass bumper sticker Spoiler The Columbia County Sheriff's Office said a deputy spotted the sticker on the rear window of a brown Chevrolet truck traveling west on the highway at around 5:50 p.m. The deputy believed that the sticker violated the state's Statute 847.011 which prohibits the possession of obscene or lewd material, including drawings, pictures, or any other written or printed matter. When the officer confronted Webb about the sticker, the suspect replied that they were "just words," according the Lake City Reporter. The deputy also asked Webb how a parent of a small child would explain the meaning of the graphic sticker if they saw it, to which Webb replied it would be "up to the parent." Webb was initially cited with obscenity and handed a notice to appear in court by the deputy. After being asked to remove one of the letters from the sticker to make it less offensive, Webb refused citing his First Amendment rights, according to the report. He was then also charged with resisting arrest. Speaking to the Associated Press, Webb said he plans on filing a wrongful arrest lawsuit against the department, believing the deputy who detained him was out to get him. "I'm tired of police forces thinking they are above the Constitution, the Bill of Rights," Webb said. "Like the whole time, he was just really rude," Webb added. "It just felt to me like his goal was to get me in jail." Webb also claimed he has never had any issues with his sticker. "I've had parents drive by me with their kids taking pictures. They point and laugh and giggle, and they go on about their day." The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) of Florida questioned why the sheriff's office was bothering with such a trivial matter. "Shouldn't police officers spend their time serving and protecting communities and not pulling Floridians over for speech that is already protected by the First Amendment?" ACLU spokeswoman Casey Bruce-White said in a statement. "Using the excuse that a child would see and ask questions about this particular bumper sticker is absurd." The Columbia County Sheriff's Office defended the arrest in a statement to AP. "If the law is faulty then the legislature can address that or if the law is unconstitutional then the judiciary will address it," Sergeant Murray Smith said. Webb is due to appear at Columbia County Courthouse on May 23 to face the charges.

Florida Boomer Caught on Video Cutting Brake Lines of Public E-Scooters Your browser does not support HTML5 video tag. GIF: Fort Lauderdale Police/YouTube Police in Fort Lauderdale, Florida have arrested a man who allegedly cut the brake lines on dozens of public scooters this year. The man has been identified by police as 59-year-old Randall Thomas Williams of Fort Lauderdale, though a possible motive has not yet been released. The arrest was first reported by NBC Miami, which notes that local police say 140 e-scooters have had their brakes cut in the area this year. Williams has been linked to twenty of the vandalized scooters and has allegedly caused roughly $1,400 in damage, according to police. But there are dozens of other incidents that appear to fit the same pattern dating back to April. Police posted Ring camera footage of a man, identified by police as Williams, to YouTube. The man, who’s apparently one of those lawless Baby Boomers we keep hearing about, can be seen approaching the Lime-brand scooters and places something on the scooter’s QR activation code before walking off camera for a short time. He then returns with a tool in hand and appears to cut the brake lines. Williams has been charged with criminal mischief, a third degree felony and released on $500 bond. Scooters have been a controversial addition to the urban landscape ever since their widespread introduction just a few years ago, causing outrage in some residents who believe they’re unsightly. Many cities have grappled with citizens chucking the scooters into large bodies of water, like they do in Portland. But even if you hate the scooters, it’s a bad idea to cut the brake lines and endanger the lives of innocent people. “Anyone who witnesses someone tampering with electric scooters should call 911 immediately,” Fort Lauderdale Police said in a statement posted online. “Additionally, anyone who finds a scooter that appears to have been tampered with should contact the vendor.”
Dumb shit. There are many ways to disable or destroy those things without endangering the lives of the riders or pedestrians.

https://www.espn.com/espn/story/_/i...coaches-fired-player-says-was-forced-eat-pork Ohio high school football coaches fired after player says he was forced to eat pork Spoiler Jun 4, 2021 Associated Press Facebook Twitter Facebook Messenger Pinterest Email print CANTON, Ohio -- The head football coach at an Ohio high school and six other coaches there have been ousted after a football player said he was forced to eat pork in violation of his religious beliefs for missing a voluntary workout. The Canton City Board of Education voted unanimously Thursday to not renew the coaching contracts of Canton McKinley head football coach Marcus Wattley, two of his assistants and an assistant baseball coach, The Canton Repository reported. With the same vote, the board also deemed three other assistant football coaches as ineligible for future coaching positions. The district had suspended the coaches last week after the 17-year-old player reported what happened to him on May 24. Another coach was also suspended, but he will remain as an assistant coach because the evidence did not show that he acted in the same manner as the other coaches, officials said. A lawyer for the teen player's family has announced plans to sue the school district. The player and his family are members of the Hebrew Israelite religious faith and do not eat pork. District superintendent Jeff Talbert said surveillance video gave administrators the information they needed to warrant their recommendations to the board. However, he declined to provide details of what happened and said the video would not be publicly released due to federal student privacy regulations. Peter Pattakos, an attorney retained by Wattley, said details of the events were exaggerated and parts are false. His statements were supported by five football players who attended the school board meeting in support of the eight coaches. Pattakos and the students said the player could have left at any time, adding that Wattley offered the teen chicken nuggets instead of pepperoni pizza after the player said he did not eat pork. They said the player chose to take off the pepperoni and eat the pizza. Pattakos blamed an assistant coach, whom he did not name, for inflaming the situation by reporting an exaggerated version to administrators and the player's family. Pattakos also blamed the district for conducting a "rushed and incomplete" investigation. Talbert disputed the claims about the investigation, saying the video gave them enough information to determine that the coaches acted inappropriately. The teen's attorney, Ed Gilbert, said the player skipped a voluntary workout four days before the incident while nursing a sore shoulder. He was ordered to sit in the middle of the gym and eat an entire pepperoni pizza, Gilbert said. He was allowed to remove the pepperoni and some of the cheese, but pork residue remained, Gilbert said. The teen would have been subjected to additional drills and his status on the team might have been jeopardized if he had not followed Wattley's order, Gilbert said.
Fucking Ohioippi man Veteran's Mic Cut During Speech About Freed Slaves On Memorial Day By Bill Galluccio June 3, 2021 Organizers of a Memorial Day event in Ohio are facing criticism after they cut the microphone of a veteran in the middle of his speech. Army Lt. Col. Barnard Kemter was speaking at a ceremony at the Markillie Cemetery in Hudson, Ohio, which was put together by the Hudson American Legion Auxiliary. About halfway through his speech, Kemter brought up the history that freed slaves had in celebrating Memorial Day for the first time. He explained that historians believe that a group of freed slaves organized the ceremony on May 1, 1865, at the remains of a Confederate prison camp. "The ceremony is believed to have included a parade of as many as 10,000 people, including 3,000 African American schoolchildren singing the Union marching song, John Brown's Body," Kemter said. "They were carrying armfuls of flowers and went to decorate at the graves." That's when his mic was turned off. Kemeter tapped the microphone, thinking it was a glitch. He laughed it off and continued his speech. Afterward, Kemter learned that it wasn't a mistake and that somebody turned off his microphone on purpose. Cindy Suchan, who is president of the Hudson American Legion Auxiliary, admitted that somebody turned off his microphone because the organization didn't want him to bring up the freed slaves during his speech. "We asked him to modify his speech, and he chose not to do that," Suchan told the Akron Beacon Journal. She did not identify who turned off his mic. The sound engineer, A.J. Stokes, told the newspaper that Suchan told him to shut off Kemter's microphone, but he refused. He pointed the control knob and then said that Jim Garrison, adjutant of American Legion Lee-Bishop Post 464, was the one who turned it off. Kemter was not happy about being censored during his speech. "I was very disappointed that someone would choose to censor my speech," Kemter told the Washington Post. "Throughout history, there has been a lot of claims about who actually performed the first Memorial Day service. With this speech, I chose to educate people as to the origin of Memorial Day and why we were celebrating it." The Ohio American Legion said it is investigating the incident. "The American Legion of Ohio has become aware of an incident on Memorial Day recently published by the Akron Beacon Journal. We take this matter and its allegations seriously. We will investigate and take disciplinary action if necessary," the organization wrote on Twitter.
Fucking trash 16 members of Florida white supremacist gang charged in sweeping indictment The group called the Unforgiven required its members to study "Aryan Philosophy" and carry out acts of extreme violence, the indictment says. July 15, 2021, 1:24 PM EDT By Tom Winter Sixteen members of a Florida-based white supremacist group – who went by names such as Shrek, Pretty Boy and Scumbag – have been charged in a 12-count racketeering indictment accusing them of engaging in acts of murder, kidnapping and other offenses. Spoiler The members of the group called the Unforgiven used “corrupt law enforcement officers and state employees” to gather information about the investigation and to smuggle contraband to incarcerated inmates, the indictment says. The group required its members to study "Aryan Philosophy" and carry out acts of extreme violence to gain entry into the gang, the indictment says. They were also required to get tattoos – which included swastikas, iron crosses and SS bolts – pay dues and attend regular meetings known as “Church,” the court papers say. Members also created a political branch called Route 21, which federal prosecutors described as an “attempt to disguise the white supremacist roots of its political activity.” One of the people named in the indictment, David Howell, 39, was charged with assaulting protesters with a dangerous weapon at a ‘Peace Walk for Black Lives’ protest last June. An attorney for Howell, of Loxahatchee, Florida, was not listed in court records. Several members – including George “Shrek” Andrews, Brandon “Scumbag” Welch and Joshua “Chain Gang” Wilson – are facing up to 30 years in prison if convicted. The three men could not be immediately reached, and it was not clear if they had hired lawyers. The Anti-Defamation League describes the group as a white supremacist prison gang. The indictment says the group was created in part to rebel against a “perceived constant and almost brutal victimization of whites” in the Florida prison system. Another member of the group, Michael Curzio, pleaded guilty Monday to participating in the storming of the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6. He was sentenced to six months in prison but was set to be released from jail this week after receiving credit for time served.

Florida man plans ‘drive-by shooting’ thinking he can blame it on Black Lives Matter Daniel Slater looks really sad Spoiler Despite the number of reports confirming just how peaceful Black Lives Matter protesters are, some people just love to label them as violent. But what’s worse is some folks are too ignorant to understand what the movement is and paint it out to be some sort of gang in their heads—and others take that image too far. A Florida man from Palm Beach County is no exception, with a clearly distorted view of the BLM movement and reality, he not only admitted to trying to conduct a murder-for-hire plot but shared that he planned to blame the murders on BLM. The man identified as 51-year-old Daniel Slater admitted he had planned to kill a woman, allegedly his ex-girlfriend, as well as her sister and brother-in-law, who he thought had ruined the relationship, The Palm Beach Post reported. In court Thursday he admitted to one count of murder for hire, a sentence likely to serve at least 10 years in prison. Prior to agreeing to a plea, Slater faced a maximum sentence of 90 years in prison if he was convicted of his original six charges. According to a press release issued by the Southern District of Florida for the United States Attorney’s Office, Slater met with an associate from May to June 2020, who agreed to carry out the murder. Together the two laid out plans on how, when, and where to carry out the crime. They even discussed adding a third person to the plan. Slater directed the would-be-hitman on how to make the murder seem like it was a “drive-by shooting” and spray paint the house to make it look like Black Lives Matter was responsible for the murders. “Slater and his associate drove by the victim’s home, during which Slater instructed his associate on how to carry out the murders when the time came,” the press release said. “Slater pointed out which of the home’s windows to shoot through to kill the couple. Slater also instructed his associate to spray-paint the house to make it appear as if members of the Black Lives Matter movement had committed the crime.” Additionally, recordings were shared in court in which Slater asked the associate to knock out the victim’s teeth, break her nose, and throw acid on her face. In exchange for the murders, Slater offered the associate cocaine and agreed to forgive the associate for a prior drug debt. However, before the crimes could be carried out his associate began working for the FBI as an informant. As an informant, the associate connected Slater to a “hitman” who was actually an undercover agent. According to authorities, the associate then pretended the murders were carried out by providing Slater with photoshopped images of the crime. Slater was arrested and charged three days later. For his cooperation in the investigation, prosecutors agreed to drop two other murder-for-hire and three-drug charges he was facing. According to The Palm Beach Post, the lawyer who represented Slater, Richard Della Fera, said the evidence against Slater was “quite voluminous,” including phone recordings. While Slater initially pleaded not guilty, during a court hearing last week, he changed his plea to guilty as a part of his plea deal. His sentencing is scheduled for Sept. 16. According to NBC News, authorities began investigating Slater in February 2020 after they found the body of a 26-year-old woman in Everglades National Park in Miami. The woman was identified as the associate Slater had allegedly trained to kill his ex-girlfriend, Brianne Slabaugh. According to prosecutors, Slabaugh was “unable to go through with the murder” and agreed to work with the FBI. A Miami-Dade County medical examiner ruled her death an accidental drug overdose.
Naked Woman Pulls Up In A Golf Cart During Armed Standoff In Florida By Zuri Anderson September 8, 2021 Elisabeth Smith, 28, is facing a charge after authorities say she disrupted an active armed standoff in Dunedin, Florida. Photo: Pinellas County Sheriff's Office A troublesome situation was made worse for Florida authorities when a naked woman reportedly pulled up in a golf cart, according to WFLA. The incident began Sunday morning (September 8) in Dunedin when Pinellas County Sheriff's deputies set up a perimeter outside a home on Michigan Boulevard near Madeira Avenue, Reporters say 18-year-old Myles Abbott was fleeing authorities before climbing on top of the roof and pointing a gun at them. This kicked off an hours-long standoff. Then, 28-year-old Elisabeth Smith, who had nothing to do with the situation, allegedly drove into the crime scene on the vehicle, an arrest affidavit says. The Boston, Massachusetts woman even approached the house where the armed teenager was, deputies claim. "[Her] actions and inability to follow directions put multiple deputies at risk for potentially getting shot at," the affidavit reads. Deputies say they were able to get her off the golf cart and handcuff her. The affidavit claims there was a "distinct odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from her person, and she was completely nude." Smith was charged with resisting an officer without violence.
