alabama logic: me: “how late are y’all open tonight?” dreamland: “9” me: “oh great I’d like to put in an order for carry out” dreamland: “oh sorry we stop taking to go orders at 8” me: “oh ok, are y’all still seating customers then?” dreamland: “no” me: “ok”
But their team is good at football so they obviously know more than you about everything. Just ask them.
He had the 100 yard pick six against Ole Miss when we beat them 30-0 in what I think was Bielema’s first SEC win.
Or at the very least full moon. Archibald's is better but hole in the wall and I'm not sure they're open for dinner.
Full Moon is better than original dreamland now?? I haven’t been to either in a long time. I’m also assuming he didn’t go to the Dreamland across the river
Y'all beat LSU the week before - I remember fully expecting us to choke in that game. To recap - we started 7-0 that year with wins against A&M and Bama. Proceeded to go 2-4 for the remainder including a 0-30 loss to Ark and a 3-42 loss in our bowl game against TCU. Fun year.
Serves us right for going back-to-back hiring a former Arkansas head coach then jumping into bed with an Arkansas State coach.
no chance. I guess it’s popular to say dreamland sucks these days but the dreamland hate is way over the top also the praise for archibalds is too
Dreamland is fine. I haven’t been to the original in probably 25 years, but the franchises are what you’d expect from chain bbq. Archibald’s ribs are a gift from god himself.
Let me clarify what the proper take is : (1) Archibalds is by far the best bbq in Tuscaloosa. They have the best spare ribs in the country and ever known to mankind. (2) The "Dreamland isn't good" rhetoric is way overblown. The original is still very good imo. (3) Anyone that tells you to go to Full Moon over the original dreamland should be banned from any further bbq talk . Full moon is the epitome of white boy franchise bbq. It's not bad , but it's very mediocre.
There are two reasons to go to Full Moon over Dreamland. 1. You are in Birmingham and close to the original Full Moon (which is awesome) and don’t want to commit 3 hours to driving to Tuscaloosa. 2. You are picking between either Franchise location and the FM is more convenient because at that point they are indistinguishably mediocre.
If you serve anything more than white bread and spare ribs you're doing it wrong. Before anyone weighs in on the merits of white bread: stfu it has nothing to do with whether the white bread is good or not, it's the simplicity and tradition.
What would anyone have to gain by spreading lies about dreamland? It's just awful awful bbq. I've been to multiple locations but maybe not original.
