Brooks was a rumored transfer after his freshman and sophomore year, so it's definitely not surprising. He was always linked to Indiana. I think he's a good player, just not elite. UK fans hate him, but that's because most are still pissed he orchestrated the kneeling for the flag stuff. Think he could be a 16 & 8 type of player just about anywhere if he was featured. Rumors are that he's not against returning to UK, but I'd be shocked if he comes back.
Apparently they have to provide notice to the school by midnight, but the school has 2 days to file the paper work. We could get announcements all the way until Tuesday.
Jai Lucas was "held back" by Cal on offering or targeting guys early and it's a big reason he left. Him and Cal didn't get along. Chin almost left as well apparently
Him and Chin were getting into it like every game this year. Joel Justus left for the same reasons as Jai Lucas did. Man is stubborn as hell.

FWIW, Ryan James (Gophers 247 basketball writer) was going through reasons why he didn't think Walton would be a priority (need for a ball handler or combo guard as opposed to a wing, more useful to have a grad transfer, etc.), and included "other factors". Someone asked about what those "other factors" could be, and he responded "I'm not often short on words unless I mean to be." I took that to mean that he's heard some similar rumblings about Kerwin getting some sort of deal from another program, he just doesn't want to get involved in discussing it.

He’s an undersized inconsistent post scorer that doesn’t defend real well and commits a lot of dumb fouls. But the fouls are hard fouls with a lot of attitude. I’ll miss that
KU has reached out to Isaiah Mosley from Missouri State in case Braun decides to stick in the draft. They would need shooting/scoring if Ochai & CB are gone.
Wish we could make a move for Mosley too. He’s very good, someone we’ve had an eye on all season as a transfer candidate, he just jumped in the portal too late and our backcourt is crowded now.
