Not sure but the dealer stuck with Kyle Lewis shit is funny to me. Surprised anyone would let it suck up precious space.
Guess who pulled the National Treasures Cade Cunningham Logoman Auto Rookie 1/1? Yep, Backyard Breaks. Nothing to see here.
Are NBA Prizm and Optic just not desirable any more? Last 2 times I've been to Walmart they've been decently stocked with it.
I think panini raising prices on blasters makes them hard to actually get your money back out of them and in turn makes it harder for the flippers to buy them all up at once hoping to make a profit reselling them
Blasters cost more than the hits, just like you saw with hobby. Pay $37 for a blaster and can’t get $25 for a Zach Wilson Prizm Silver Variation.
Exactly, you can nab a Trevor Lawrence purple shock or other colors for the same price if not cheaper than blaster even hanger box sometimes. I’ve snagged two Trevor Lawrence orange discos for $35 and $38 apiece and the blasters they come out of are $55 on ebay. I love seeing all these guys that used bots to get hundreds of, It thousands of blasters trying to sell huge lots and no one is biting anymore. I saw one guy had almost $20,000 in retail and judging by his room he had them in he probably put them on credit cards and those bills are starting to come due.
Not being able to sleep + Loupe is generally a bad idea. Sometimes though, you pull a 1/1 Justin Tucker printing plate from Score. A kicker....printing plate....wtf.
At Walmart getting insulin for my dog. Bought a blaster of Donruss Elite which I’d never even heard of. Spoiler
Was dumb and bought a blaster at Meijer while shopping today, went better than expected. Although it's probably not worth much more than blaster itself
I'd like to see a deep dive into someone buying a $900 optic box and the best card being a Jaycee Horn /50.
Bought 3 Topps chrome blasters and 1 Bowman U blaster. All 4 blasters had a numbered card plus one of the chromes had a Trout negative image.
Just looked at the release schedule on Blowout Cards and the only 22/23 product coming out soon is a Leaf product.
Anyone collect last year's rookies. Have a decent amount, mostly base, of that class hunting cade cards
Are breaks starting to die out? Personally I get in very few of them anymore and the few groups I belong to on Facebook seem like they are struggling to fill them. At these prices I can’t imagine many people are going to continue to be part of them. I watched some rip 2 2021 Sepect hobby boxes lastnight at the best cards were a couple Zach Wilson and Trey Lance silver cards that sell for less than $30 each.
i hope all the small timers get to keep going and those fucks from backyard breaks get fired into the sun
It sucks but those clowns will always have a customer base and while I agree it’s bullshit they probably get loaded boxes most of those I can’t afford to buy into anyway. I saw one guy defend them last week saying he spent over $100,000 with them last year, that’s my yearly income. I do hope some of these smaller breakers can stay in business, they usually have some good prices and a few I’ve broke with have treated me right, bought that CJ stroud spot in a huge break for $270 and got skunked, that’s the risk but the guy sent me 4 hobby packs of some product to help ease the sting.
I’ve essentially quit breaking until prices come down enough. Definitely support your favorite smaller breakers if you’re going to buy into any breaks. A lot of those guys are doing it as their full time job and always take care of their customers. Times are going to be tough for them for a while.
I'll take a look on Thor, I know for sure on Giddey I have one (and I think 2) of his cracked ice Prizms. Can't remember if any other SP
Because sales of singles has reached a point where it’s basically impossible to return a profit from ripping product at current prices
NBA, optic and prizm sitting on the shelves at my local Target, which has never happened before. Think this shift is real
