Two boxes of Frank Js Heritage HN Hobby arrived today. They seem pretty legit and cheaper than eBay for sure. Thanks to whoever here recommend
So Brock Purdy isn't in either the Absolute or Donruss checklist? Is this a typical thing? I'm confused why they've got retired players and defensive scrubs but not a drafted QB, yet they do have him in another set?
Hit these in first Heritage HN, which I am happy with. However, I never got a relic or autograph which was guaranteed. Do I have any recourse or am I fucked?
Also congrats on the hits. That’s a great box assuming you get some sort of replacement hit from Topps
You can go on topps.com customer support and do a missing hit claim. Not sure what you would get as a replacement.
Ha, they want me to submit all the opened pack wrappers. I opened the box over the course of a couple days so they are in the garbage with the spaghetti everywhere. Not even worth the hassle for what shit they would replace it with probably
Had time to kill before eye appt with daughter. Stopped at LCS, grabbed 5 loose packs of WC soccer. Frenkie De Jong 1/1 and a prizm auto of an old French guy I've never heard of.
Are we getting Mosaic mega boxes? Looking at the checklist I don't see the yellow reactive prizm from last year that were in, I believe, the Target megas.
Bought a Herbie paper ticket raw from a guy for about the price of a psa 7 Felt it had a shot at a gem but most likely a 9 PSA gave it a 6 Called my rep and said I've been grading cards long enough to know someone screwed up. Can you guys take another look. He said yes, but that process takes a while. I say ok 4 months later I check in and he says they're still working on it Next day it pops a 6 again Get the slab back, crack it and look again. I see no reason why it got a 6. Sent to Beckett. Got a 9
This is just your daily reminder that there are multiple people that post ITT that are likely more qualified than the people grading cards at various companies. A grade is just one person's opinion on a given day. If you are going to send cards to get graded, ALWAYS pre-grade your own cards and write down what you believe they are. That way when you get them back you know what to expect. Pre-grade 9.5-10 and it gets a 9 or lower? Always snap it out and send it right back. I have gotten the 10 multiple times doing this. I had a Pujols SPX Auto Rookie that was a BGS 9. I thought it looked clean so I snapped it to send to PSA. They gave it a 4 lol. I snapped it, looked it over, and it was very clean aside from one small surface dimple on the back. Sent it back in and it got a 9.
Been desperately seeking new auto sets to start collecting but all these sticker autos in high end product is disgusting. I just spent the last three hours trying to find something to get excited about and couldn't.
That's the issue, I like limited numbered high end autos and all these newer 2022 sets are plagued with stickers. I also like sets that all contain the same amount, like /25 for every player, instead of the common random /10, /49, /99, etc. that Panini is famous for. How hard is it to have some damn consistency?
So I have a buyer on eBay that hasn’t paid “ because his card isn’t approved by eBay yet”. I looked at his feedback and he gets good feedback for being a buyer. My guess is he doesn’t want the Justin Jefferson card since they were eliminated from playoffs. How long till eBay gives him a non payment strike.
Looking to buy a hobby box of baseball from this past season. What’s the best one to get out of the Topps series?
Yes, absolutely. Not all the cards in a release, certain subsets within. For example: Player supercollectors are weirdos.
It's not I just like taking shots at "supercollectors". I've collected players in the past, it never works out long term though because said player will eventually leave to play on not one but two of the worst franchises in the history of baseball (Yankees/Dodgers).
Ah, gotcha. Yeah I was collecting Calvin Ridley for a while but now I have a good bit of his stuff I'm going to offload now since his time with the Falcons was rather short.
