old man yells at cloud here: I am still using U-verse and am sick of not having 4k. Does anyone still use DirectTV, comcast, etc? Or is eveyrone on YouTubeTV, streaming services, etc?
Just finished the patient. Really liked it. It's pretty incredible how good steve carell can be in any role
This show is pretty good. Three seasons on Hulu, 4th on torrance. The lives of Vinnie and Dylan, who have grown up together and are inseparable. When Dylan's girlfriend wants to move in search of a better life for her and her child, Dylan must face the hardest decision of his life. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt9174582/
Figured a good thread for this. Hulu deal for $1.99 a month for 12 months. Use a currently not subscribed email. I added Disney+ for I think $2.99 a month additional.
Intern did not understand the assignment of “nix the 3 unnecessary letters” in other news, Red Bull fans will be psyched.
White House Plumbers tells the story of how Nixon’s own political saboteurs and Watergate masterminds, E. Howard Hunt (Woody Harrelson) and G. Gordon Liddy (Justin Theroux), accidentally toppled the presidency they were zealously trying to protect. White House Plumbers is coming to HBO March 2023.
Can't find the cord cutter thread. Anyone have an issue with the fire stick 4k max where there is no sound at startup (all apps and the main ui), that can only be resolved by a restart? Driving me nuts and it happens a good 20% of the time
This just dropped and looks interesting. Wildcat follows the inspiring story of a young veteran on his journey into the Amazon. Once there, he meets a young woman running a wildlife rescue and rehabilitation center, and his life finds new meaning as he is entrusted with the life of an orphaned baby ocelot. What was meant to be an attempt to escape from life, turns out to be an unexpected journey of love, discovery, and healing.
thanks, i'll check this out. the woman who created that org is unbelievably beautiful, too. https://www.instagram.com/sjzwicker/?hl=en
Spoiler: Don't click if you haven't watched Wtf was with that gun that killed Khan? Did they put it out? I assume no, and poachers did it, but why was one so close to their camp? Could it have shot one of them with where it was positioned? I mean damn. That was really gut wrenching. Edit: Just finished the whole thing. I really wish those 2 had stayed together, and then after 8 months he reunited with Samantha, and saw Keanu one last time so he could know that Keanu was good to go for real. But then again, Keanu was spotted on a trail camera 6 months later, so that is good enough.
This came out today. Watched the first episode. They have so much real camera footage and phone conversations recorded. I do not understand why or how they have all of this. They seem to record even the mundane. Lucky for us, I guess. It's really good though, but I'm a sucker for these docs.
Just finished stolen youth. It was good. Just absolutely insane how he did that to them, and kept it going. I don’t think the full weight of it hit me until the clip of him slamming that girl on the floor.
This just started on Sky/Canal oversees. Not sure who'll show it over here but looks pretty damn good. Follows Django, a gunslinger in the Wild West who is searching for his daughter who he believes escaped the murder of his family eight years ago.
You think you’re shopping for socks. They know who you’re voting for. The job’s already half done. Kiefer Sutherland stars as John Weir in the new series Rabbit Hole, where nothing is what it seems. A master of deception in the world of corporate espionage, Weir must use all the resources at his disposal when he’s framed for murder by powerful forces with the ability to influence and control populations. Rabbit Hole also stars Charles Dance, Meta Golding, Enid Graham, Jason Butler Harner, Walt Klink, and Rob Yang. Stream the series premiere of Rabbit Hole on Sunday, March 26, exclusively on Paramount+.
WACO: THE AFTERMATH, starring Oscar nominee Michael Shannon (GEORGE & TAMMY), will premiere on April 14 on SHOWTIME. Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the tragic events at Mt. Carmel that began on February 28, 1993, WACO: THE AFTERMATH focuses on the fallout of the Waco disaster: the trials of the surviving members of the Branch Davidian sect and the rise of homegrown terrorist, Timothy McVeigh. The five-episode limited series also provides a broader context for the escalation of the American militia movement, which foreshadows the infamous attacks of the Oklahoma City bombing and the storming of the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
I have a family friend whose father was on the ground with the FBI during this. He won’t talk about it
I grew up 2 houses down from a Texas Ranger (his son was my age and a very good friend) who was there too. He would never say much of anything about it either
