Time for a thread for content beyond Netflix and Disney+. Share gems you've found or discuss new content. Here are a couple bookmarks of lesser known libraries, all free. Official YouTube playlist - rotates quickly Vudu - major titles w/ ads IMDb TV Overdrive - Free content delivered through your local library account ShoutFactoryTV - lots of old black and white TV, B movie type cult/sci-fi/etc. tubi - lots and lots of movies, of varying interest and quality. Crackle - Sony owned, so (only?) their content. Popcornflix Also Relevant Netflix Thread Disney+ Thread Cord Cutting Thread trick for finding films: Google "[title] stream"
And now the real reason I started this thread: Most James Bonds are now streaming in 4k on Amazon Prime. Gin Buckets Cardeja12
I am an addict but recently favorited https://kinonow.com/ because I cannot say no to more bookmarks.
I use: Netflix Hulu HBO (Hulu) Prime Disney+ Fox Now ABC NBC CBS All Access ESPN NBC Sports I think that’s all for now. Getting hallmark for the wife after thanksgiving.
Just found Silence is streaming on Popcornflix. what a nice surprise. Just a beautiful film. Where does joey jo-jo jr shabadoo access his kino
what kind of stuff do you get on CBS All Access, I've supposedly got a free sub to it through UNC's 247 site
All seasons of their current shows streaming, some older series. Some CBSAA originals. Live CBS, news, sports network.
As discussed in the soccer board, in 2021 the Champions League (and possibly Europa League) will move to CBS All Access (away from the largely unliked B/R Live plan via parent company Turner.
Don't we already have a thread for this??? https://www.the-mainboard.com/index.php?threads/cutting-the-cable.123737/
Personal opinion: they could put a 5 year moratorium on creating new content and I would still not be able to catch up with my backlog from my watchlist on each of these. Amazon Prime and Netflix being the longest.
this is more so for discussing the content not found on Netflix and now Disney+ instead of plans and providers and costs to cut the cord.
see this is the kind of surprising programming that would attract me to CBS All Access good work Detective
It’s a about a law firm lady who is a wife and married to the state attorney in Chicago. If you like legal dramas l it’s great.
I use Netflix, Hulu Live, HBO Go, and Amazon Prime. Planning to subscribe to Disney+ while taking time off around the holidays, and may give the Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+ package a shot after football season is over and see how I do without live tv.
Started watching His Dark Materials on HBO that just came out. 3 episodes out so far and they’ve been entertaining. Based on some book trilogy and it kind of reminds me of Harry Potter in some ways.
I’ve had success changing my chrome location manually in the settings then using Fox/CBS apps. It drops you into the market based on location. That’s usually to avoid preseason games and watch the scheduled network shows rather than get into a specific game market. streaming sites are usually easier.
I am not an NFL fan, moreover I don't even have a team I support - and I will still turn on the THU night game on the Apple TV to watch it in 4k.
https://www.justwatch.com/ They also have an app. Great for finding what provider has your content. If you’re in the market to rent or purchase it also shows the cheapest option. Makes recs as well.
HBO Max launched with tons of content and properties, but only in HD. 4k and HDR and high def audio are not supported at launch and may not come to the platform for a while. That means the battle of Winterfell will still look like crap. https://www.theverge.com/2020/5/18/...-classic-warner-bros-turner-studio-date-price Spoiler WARNER BROS.
