I'm level 45 and just got my mount, I think I'm wasting too much time trying to 100% Lilith Altars in each region (did finish all first 3 acts Altars) I think at this point I should already be high enough to attempt the capstone dungeon to get into WT3, will probably blast through act 4-5 tonight.
Big nerfs this morning in the patch https://news.blizzard.com/en-us/diablo4/23964909/diablo-iv-patch-notes Barbs and Pulverize Druids probably got it worse. Paragon builds caught their first nerfbat. It’s funny because it’s almost like all the beta testing didn’t really yield all that much tweaking.
Not surprised at the barb change. They did implement a lot between betas but I guess when a ton more people get their hands on endgame they can see what is way OP. The meltdowns on Reddit are hilarious, after seeing that barb streamer video of course this build was getting nerfed.
Nerfing shouts nerfs basically every single barb build. Having to wait around for cooldowns is the worst way of nerfing something. Reduce their damage output, but don't gut the style of play.
They didn't gut the style of play, I've been playing WW and it's still effective. You just have to manage fury a little better
just finished the story. 8/10. would have been a 9 but there were a few unskippable cutscenes at the end.
This is part of why I’ve been respeccing and trying everything out. Not getting locked into any meta stuff yet. Right now it’s cheap enough but I understand after 50 it gets much more expensive. That would be my only gripe. If you’re going to balance (and I think you should) don’t make it so painful to respec when your build gets hit.
This is probably a dumb question but how do I see what all the statuses/buffs/whatever are above my skills on Xbox?
Sorc folk. Just started the game and curious about 1-hand "wand" + off hand booster things vs. 2-hand staff. Looks like raw DPS numbers favor the staff. Is the 1-hand combo not much worth looking into or are those used for specialized situations with the off-hand buff item?
The one hand ones add up for your dps. The game does it for you, though. If you compare a staff with your equipped wand and off hand and the dps is less, that’s why. I prefer the two one handed items for quicker cast speed, but that’s just a play preference. No idea in the end if one is “better” than the other outside of the simple dps comparison.
With respect to your build if you use a 2H and really only need one offensive aspect for your build, the 2H gets 2x numeric value for the aspect. 1H do not get that bonus. You do get the additional aspect though so it’s build specific. For my Druid, it’s 2H far and away using Shockwave aspect.
Finally finished collecting every single Lilith Altar in the game, I hope to god this carries over to seasonal characters because fuck doing this ever again.
annoying thing is you can't compare when you have a 2h with a 1h in inventory because there's no off hand equipped already. i would like to know if a 1 hand would be better with an off hand i might have or get in the future but its always like 200+ dps less when comparing and im not gonna save everything i pick up to find out if itll total more so i end up just using 2h most of the time.
Yeah, I’ve been doing a lot of adding in my head. Also keeping my highest damage of each so if something drops that adds up I have the other hand covered.
shields just dont seem worth it right? im necro so i do focus's and shields but no dps on shields so...
Figuring things out a little at a time. Seems like it's all dependent on the bonuses of the stuff that I have. Got a good 1H that +% damage on close/far enemies and the 2H boosts cold damage which is my thing.
How do I find out about ashava in game or somewhere else instead of checking this thread an hour after they happen?
Only seen legion events pop up, must not be on when it's happened before. Is there a schedule online somewhere?
Act 4 spoilers/question Spoiler did taissa just randomly become kind of a bitch or did I miss something? Like we save her life and she suddenly flips back to a witch and is all rude. Also poor neyrelle :( I skipped back and forth between the lorath and donan sections and spoiled that part for myself
Yep. I stopped doing them unless I got to the max of 20 at a time or they were in my normal path. So damn many
Yeah you might want to try to go through the campaign faster, I did the slow exploration thing and it became a drag towards the end. If you hit lvl 50 before finishing the campaign then you're pretty much going to be level locked since mobs will no longer scale up to 51+ and you basically get no xp from them anymore.
Couple questions that google didn't answer for me: The capstone abilities that you get from dungeons - if you're running a class that one applies to do those automatically apply and you don't have to "select them" anywhere? If I want to respec a different ability on that was in the 3rd set of abilities in the tree, do I have to unspec everything from the 4th set on down?
The abilities from the dungeons are applied to your items at the occultist. You have to do it. If you are respeccing a point that's required to be on the tree to unlock something further up, yeah you'd have to pull all the points off. It gets easier once you're leveled and can move points around without a full respec
This one is confusing me. Maybe I'm not calling it the right thing. I got the Aspect of Piercing Cold Codex from a dungeon for my Sorc. I have to put that on a piece of gear at the occultist or does it automatically apply? The occultist stuff I looked at seemed like it was the "+% of critical chance / +% damage to close/distant enemies" which seems similar to Division 2 gear min/maxing.
What bothers me about the end game is them not notifying you when a world event starts - or not announcing a timer that the events are one. Like hell tide seems cool but I never know when it start. The world bosses too - I've only done one and I was just lucky to have noticed it on the map.
