I bet you'll get a bunch of Likes for this one. You deserve them. You're hilarious. You really got me.
Seems the artillery barrage has started, I’d imagine Ukr will rain fire for 3+ days before sending in the mechanized forces Russians are panicking
Have Russians considering using their munitions against military targets instead of civilians? Seems like a better use of resources.
I believe that was yesterday. This new one looks legit abd can see more Leo, brads, and m113 in this video near it.
Yes, I don't think the offensive is going too well. Driving armor into prepared positions with mines all over the place with limited artillery and no air support beyond a few cruise missiles lobbed in (pinpricks, really) is suicide. It was suicidal in 1943, it's definitely suicidal in 2023. Plus, they're attacking along the most obvious axis on the map (and I'm going to go ahead and guess Russia knows where the Ukrainians have their forces concentrated - they have satellites, drones, and spies all over the place too)
Also, I do think the Russians blew up that dam to stop whatever the Ukrainians had planned in the Kherson Oblast.
we’ve got almost no reports besides stuff coming out of the Russian defense ministry. At most we can say the Russian lines haven’t collapsed immediately
Well, we know the Ukrainians threw half of a battalion of their best armor (of which they have precious little of) into a known mine field / artillery kill zone and *shocking* it went poorly for them.
There's video posted above (in this thread) of a bunch of Ukrainian armor stacked up in a mine field getting blown apart by artillery that looks like it's been sighted in for a year.
Those things are unbelievably loud too; like about the same sound as a fighter jet flying 100ft over your head.
It seems the Russians are reporting only about 4 of the new brigades have been seen so far, 3 mechanized and 1 of the storm groups. All near Orekhov-Tokmak direction So this hasn't really started yet at all
If you were going fast enough you’d have a little bit of Doppler effect but that looked pretty leisurely, I have a feeling he wasn’t quite as close as this looks based on perspective
Not really; I was inside my tent with headphones in and had forewarning that "something" was about to happen and I was on the floor and out the door before I realised what was going on.
Counter offensive seems to be going ok so far from what I can tell. Ukrainians are pretty quiet which is to be expected so most info is from Russian sources. So far they can really only show 1 leopard destroyed with any high level of certainty. A few random other losses but nothing significant. it will take time to get accurate info
