What type of music do u wanna see? I live by Webster Hall and its usually pretty fun (went for a few electro shows like a-trak and the likes). Only problem is its full of girls that are really young and may or may not be 18. and by problem i mean its totally awesome.
Fuck, I don't know how I didn't include Webster Hall on my list. I'm there like 2 times a month. Was at that A-Trak show as well...
Depends when you go and what kind of tunes you like. I've been to a few metal/hardcore (I listen to a wide variety of stuff) shows there that are high-energy and really fun.
Would also add that Santos does electronica nights on Saturdays that can be a good time. They usually feature up-and-comers, but can pull in some big acts from time to time. Afrojack and Calvin Harris have both played there in recent years.
Oh ok yeah my bad never been to something like that.... the 2 times i went to Santos it was packed with jersey retards jerking each other off with jager as lube..
My apartment is right across from Xi'an Foods. Still bummed Holiday closed. I dressed up as bunny-suit Ralphie from Christmas Story. The amount of people who called me the Easter Bunny was shameful. Terminal 5 is okay, it's just in the worst location. No subways that close to it. I like Bowery Ballroom and Irving Plaza because they're close to my apt. The Studio @ Webster Hall is cool for small shows too. I'm seeing Tokyo Police Club at Bowery in June.
I've only been here once but Sao Mai has some dank vermicelli and there Pho looks great. I need good pho so I'm very happy to have found a good place to check out.
GFA changing titles We should get a statue of liberty smug* or something *yes it's overused but it would be funny, gosh
I am not a fan of Terminal 5. Views are pretty obstructed in many spots and the layout is a bit annoying. I love the Bowery Ballroom or Music Hall of Williamsburgh. Mercury Lounge is a good spot. In Brooklyn, I like going to 285 Kent even though it is a hole, and Brooklyn Bowl is a good spot for variety, but the amount of stuff going on detracts somewhat from a show experience.
Quick advice... How long will it take me to get off of a Nj transit train at NYPennStation, walk to the PATH and board a train?
Been two years since I've last been to NYC. Too long IMO. This thread makes me want to schedule a trip out there.
The nice thing about it at Bowery is there is a little ledge to your right to put your drink and other shit down.
so my Mom just texted me and said she'll send me $25 if I got to Carnegie and order the Jetbow Challenged. Accepted.
Space, she won't be paying for a Woody Allen, she'll pay for a Jetbow. I don't care that the Allen>>>>Jetbow but we're talking free food, here.
Roast beef and yellow American on white bread, iirc. It sounds like what a first grader gets packed in his lunch (except that it's 3 pounds of roast beef).
Take a picture of someone else's Jetbow and then eat a Woody Allen for free. In the words of Coach Klein "what mama don't know won't hurt her"
So, if I'm reading this correctly, you want me to take my mother's money and get a tattoo of Roy Orbison on my buttocks?
Hung out with Philip Seymour Hoffmann at WXOU in west village last night. He walked in with a book, ordered a drink and sat next to me at the bar. Cool dude but no chicks there so my buddy and I left him and headed to employees only. Wanted death of a salesman tix but afraid to ask him. Fucking expensive. / look at me
