The entire Custodial Museum cracked me up. Also really enjoyed Kumail Nanjiani in this episode. Did a good job.
This paintball episode was the first time this year where it felt like The old Community. Was it a top 10 episode? Probably not but for the first time all season I forgot I was watching this on Yahoo and had a grin throughout the entire episode
Was really enjoying that whole scene then when he had his back to Dean and Jeff and got scared because he thought they were mannequins destroyed me
Doing a rewatch of Season 1. Just finished the Schmitty episode and they're having the food fight at the end of the episode. Somehow noticed the thong of the lady in the bottom left of the screen. 8th grade me would be so proud right now. Spoiler
In today's world of Snapchat, Instagram, tumblr, porn, etc. I still love a random thong glimpse so much
No talk of the RV episode? I just watched the last two back-to-back and they were both great, maybe best of the season. When Annie confronts Koogler in the hallway: "Who is Silver..man?" "My accountant? You know David?" LOL'd for reals. Apparently there is some rumors floating around that Lapari (the custodian) wasn't really Silverballz and it was, in fact, Pierce. Chevy Chase made some comment in an interview that he would be back for S6's finale.
IMDB had the series finale description as Troy reuniting with old friends. Someone tweeted it at Dan Harmon and he vehemently denied it. Basically said "I wish."
occasionally our campus erupts into a flawless post-modern homage to action/adventure mythology, mis-characterized by the ignorant as parody
Spaced out He uses the last of his silver ammo on Abed and Annie and you can see him run out of ammo when he tries to shoot Jeff and Dean on the stage. Plus he had the same gun that took out Todd and Starburns in the beginning
Few thoughts on tonight's episode. Realized what's been throwing me about this season as it was the second episode I decided to watch over my xbox on my tv and realized what's been bugging me. Beyond the usual character banter from previous seasons, the color saturation is really messing with me. That plus the lack of background music etc. has really been throwing me off this year. Also at the end of the episode with the random producer joke about how if they were going to put the incest storyline in he had to explain it, that was literally almost the same joke they made on "the comedians" about a week or two ago about how a black writer wanted them to do a skit about the klan and a klansmen who had tourettes and said the n word nonstop and they were like we'll do it if you introduce it or explain it. The writer wound up quitting but was still getting paid was the payoff. Trying to figure out if it was some meta thing they introduced after the fact that they saw that scene or what.
think i'd agree with this Todd VanDerWerff Community season rankings: 2 > 1 > 6 > 3 >> 5 >>>>>>>>>>>> 4.
i really liked it. thought i was ready for this show to end after this season (and probably still am), but i got a bit nostalgic during that episode. well done community
If that was it then it was a great way to end the series. Abed's speech about TV got me. Too bad Troy couldn't have made a quick cameo for the three black people season.
Dan Harmon @danharmon 23h23 hours ago The finale airs in a couple hours. I'm gonna delete my Twitter app and take a couple weeks off the internet and no interviews and I love you
Yahoo In Discussions For More ‘Community’ Episodes by Nellie Andreeva June 2, 2015 3:58pm Today’s Season 6 finale of Community may have felt like a series finale, but it may not be over for the college comedy at its new home, Yahoo. I hear conversations continue between the Internet giant and Community producer Sony Pictures TV for more episodes. Neither side would comment, thought Yahoo left the door open with the following statement through a spokesperson: “With the season six finale of Community airing today, we’re continually excited by how much fans are engaging with the series. Now that all episodes are available for binge viewing, stay tuned for how we keep Community delighting its fans.” Community cheated death with the 13-episode Season 6 pickup by Yahoo a year ago, which followed the show’s cancellation by NBC. It was an experiment for the ad-supported Yahoo, picking up a network-grade scripted series, as it strives to establish itself as an original programming player. Things are still in flux (co-star Ken Jeong has a new series on ABC), and no decision is imminent, with Communitycreator/executive producer last night announcing he would be taking a break after the Season 6 finale. “I’m gonna delete my Twitter app and take a couple weeks off the internet and no interviews and I love you,” he wrote to his fans on Twitter.
I wonder what the cognitive dissonance is like for him with that. He's been on a show that routinely dismantles shitty throwaway sitcoms for six years, so you know he just hangs his head when he goes over scripts for that turd. Then he probably checks his bank account and feels like a whore.
What's the expected timeline for Donald Glover's show Atlanta? Haven't heard anything about it in months.
Loved the Britta theme song, Chang fart for Season 4, and board game finale. Wish that Troy had made an appearance and there was a solid Pierce reference (possibly involving a ghost). Will miss greatly and selfishly hope there is a movie (that I know will never happen) :(
I think a movie could work, but this needs to be it as far as TV goes. I really enjoyed the season finale and want to see the series end on a high note.
I wasn't a huge fan of the last two episodes. They were kinda dark. The absence of Troy, Shirley, and Pierce really didn't bother me much. I thought the Dean's larger role made up for it by far. And Chang to an extent too. His powerpoint was one of my favorite moments of the season. But then again I'm not a huge Donald Glover fanboy like some of you
Where the absence of Troy hurt the most is they had no idea what to do with abed for such a long time (and he was never as good as he was in the earlier seasons). Plus I thought Troy was an hilarious character. Shirley and Pierce were more dynamics related - the show was slightly off without them, but they weren't so central that it completely ruined a character (like Troy with abed). I thought Frankie and elroy were solid replacements this year.
I can agree with that. And maybe I'm totally prejudiced since I haven't rewatched the earlier seasons, but I think the Dean in the last couple seasons may have been the funniest character on the show. Go listen to Childish Gambino or something
