The best sleep our son has is when my wife travels for work. She was gone all of last week and I only had to get up twice (no more than 10 min each time) the entire week. She/we got up more than that her fist night back. The first time she traveled for work after he was born was the first he had slept through the night since she had gone back to work. It helped me convince her he needed to be sleeping in his nursery instead of in the bassinet aside our bed. Both of our sleep got much better after that.
Took my son horse back riding at friends place, they have 4 of them, my wife (random person) had not ridden in years so she was thrilled too. son and bronson Random person
I might be a dead man if my wife knew I posted a picture of her on this board, more power to you. Lol.
My single word talking son has been in preschool for 3 sessions. He pasted some paper on some more paper told the teacher he had made "grandma car." So that seems to be working as planned.
my great grandsons 3 birthday is coming up. and my sons 21st birthday we will celebrate this weekend . you have some catching up to do . god bless have a wonderfull day ..
converted the boy's bed to a toddler bed yesterday. Bedtime was not as terrible as I thought it was going to be. After we left him in the room, he didn't get up, but he would sit on the edge of the bed and touch his feet to the floor, test it out, like he was making sure the floor was still there or something. He did fall out once last night, though.
What prompted the conversion? Was he climbing out of the crib? We have all the stuff to convert both cribs to toddler beds but our girls dont climb out or complain so we haven't really discussed making the switch.
I'm trying to encourage the boy to talk by teaching him words. I was trying to get him to say "duck head," because I think that will end up sounding exactly what I want it to sound like.
I make the boy point out every fox in his books because fox definitely comes out "fahk" and I giggle every time.
The the little shit talked back and I had to bust his ass.....just playin' dude hit his lip in the table playing football in the house- couple stitches later; he good! Cared more about the Gators winning then his body #raiseemright
Having delivered quite a few both ways, this had not been my experience. Not doubting that your wife feels that way, just saying that a c-section generally takes much longer to recover from
Sent 2 month old baby baron to sitter for 1st time today since wife is back at work. Not going to lie, kinda sad and I wasn't even the one staying home with her the past 8 weeks.
well, my wife is now 20 weeks and things are getting eerily similar to last time. her cervix is shortening, and her doctor is placing a cerclage stitch tomorrow that will essentially lock the cervix in place. and she will also be put on bed rest, and likely will be hospitalized starting at 24 weeks. for comparison sake, with the twins they would not allow a cerclage. so we do have the benefit of a cerclage this time, which is more reassuring. in case you guys were wondering, we were assured by several doctors that there is nothing readily apparent that is causing her preterm labor issues. if we would have known, there is no way we would have tried for another. good news is we found out it's a baby girl. just gotta hope and pray she stays in there longer than her brothers.
Had 16 week checkup this week and all looks fine. Still on "pelvic rest" for at least another 4 weeks.
Wife got induced Friday morning and Fuzzwick Zoeller III was finally born 9:08 p.m. Friday night, a week and a half after his due date. That motherfucker was 10 lbs 3 oz and 23.5 inches. And he wasn't budging at all. The wife and our midwife just decided at one point it was time to start pushing him out and he was born an hour and a half later. My wife and I agreed if this was 1715 instead of 2015 he probably would've ended up killing her.
I made it almost 2.5 years without one of the twins shitting in the bubblebath. Tonight that streak came to an end.
Did anybody stop at just one? I never would have thought having only one was on the table, but I'm not sure I can do this again. I feel guilty about it too
We had twins right off the bat and i feel the same way. Even if we only had 1 our first time i'm not sure i could go through the infant stage again at this point.
Curious george is my goto morning cartoon with my girls. I tried to talk my wife into letting my girls be georges and i could be the man in the yellow hat for holloween but that idea was shot down with a quickness :(
george is the only thing he'll watch on tv, which is cool with me we're going with a peter pan theme this year he's hook, she's pan and I'm smee and we're going to disneyland for halloween
I only wanted one and have one(non marriage) but after i got married my wife wanted one and while i love my daughter to death its a lot to handle man. She is a joy to be around but after my son became easier it was a rude awakening to go back to infant status with my daughter. I definitely do not want another and have told my wife that but I think she wants another one. I against having a 3rd so I dont think we can compromise on that one.
damn that's a growing baby. Baby Lebowski is 13lb 15oz and will be 4 months on Thursday. 25 inches, she's pretty slim but still gaining weight.
We're biologically done at 1. I think I'm cool with one but the wife seems to want more. Not sure how much of that is driven by actually wanting one or by the fact that she can't have another.
One of my best friends has 2 kids(very tough pregnancies/births) and was told there was a good chance of death giving birth a 3rd time. She wants to have a 3rd one.. im like wtf..
When did you all start setting up the nursery? Wife coming up on 17 weeks on Thursday and is ready to rock in there.
we waiting until around 24 weeks, at that point should something happen you have a pretty good shot... my wife had just seen to many patients in the early 20 week mark who didn't have positive outcomes.
My mother wanted a 3rd, and dr told her about the same. Parents went ahead despite the high risk, and the 3rd eventually was the bone marrow match for me, thus saving my life. I dont want a third now, but I can already tell my wife has changed her mind and does because the 4 month old is growing so quickly.
Been up since 5 doing a nebulizer for my 1 yr old ... long morning but now watching Scooby-Doo doo with her
Update from my last post a few weeks back about being referred to specialists. Wife saw a hematologist for her "elevated" white blood cell count, everything's good there. We saw a pediatric cardiologist yesterday and he did a US exam of our boy's heart. He said everything was perfect, so we're still in business. That was what we expected to hear, but it was still a relief. Inside of two months on the due date now.
Like 32 weeks. 17 is way too early. Even 28 weeks is early to me - that kid isn't coming home for 2 months.
