Apparently a Slice is going into the same spot that Basil used to unfortunately occupy in Crestline Park.
yeah that's kind of what i heard. but it's a last minute date night for us and not a whole lot of options available for Saturday night. But the fact that I was able to snag an 8:00 PM Saturday table less than a week before says a lot.
Correct. Pretty excited about it at least from a take out perspective. Could never figure basil out. Seemed like all of the employees were drunk and were just customers who were helping out.
Didn’t the woman that owned it live in Florida or something? Seems like it was decent when it first opened and then went down hill
I think enough corporate entities bought up tix to keep that from happening. I ended up with free tickets to the opening ceremonies, Muay Thai, and Korfball.
But with like zero contact and no dribbling. I think you can block and steal a pass, but also can't try to steal out of someone's hands?
WTF already? Damn, that sucks. No way I'm paying out $200 for me and kids to watch archery in the park lol
Hopefully it's like the opening ceremony and there are passes on stubhub or something. It's about 20-25% cheaper than going through the WG website.
I think we have a crew going to breakdancing. Found out its outside at sloss so we will see how that goes.
Struck down because Irondale wouldn’t agree to a provision that prohibited discrimination in hiring based on gender identity during the period in which they help. So won’t help over something that won’t be applicable over a 10 day period.
Visited Birmingham last week for a night to visit the Motion Industries HQ The coworkers I was with picked The Fish Market for dinner and really got a kick out of all the “Greek pots” for sale on the patio. They’re still talking about it this week. Walked around downtown a bit around the campus of what I guess is the Children’s Hospital? Seemed like a nice downtown area. I liked how low key the airport was compared to Charlotte. These are my Birmingham observations, thank you for your service.
Yeah it was a last minute trip and I couldn’t find the thread The food was decent but the atmosphere was hilarious
I had blackened redfish or red snapper or something like that It was really good. Sides were decent. The three guys I was with managed to order like $200 worth of food because they all wanted to try the gumbo and jambalaya and so they all got an order of it each and then there were 2 or 3 apps ordered that largely went untouched The wait staff looked disgusted at how much food they dropped off at our table lol
If you ever find yourself there again get the fried shrimp. Says you get 12 pieces but in true generous Greek fashion it’s always 15 plus
Haha I know someone that works for motion in bham... or at least he did last time I saw him He's a crazy asshole
No, they distribute our products. Just visiting because they do some heavy automation in their distribution facility that we were checking out because we’re designing some new DCs
probs diff guys cause my friend was only in bham for like two years. decided to move to richmond, va to be closer to fam
my commute to mom's yesterday took eight minutes instead of four. already feeling the vast impact of road closures!
