I’ll need to check out the book. They’re doing a movie adaptation with I believe JLaw as Holmes. She should be able to pull off the hot/crazy thing with little problem.
HBO doc wasn’t very good imo. Left out so much about Sunny, and really didn’t do a good job of exposing the bullshit. Worst media about the story I’ve seen/listened to/read so far.
The HBO doc was pretty lame. 20/20 ran a 90 min doc on friday. It was much better. Or just listen to The Dropout podcast for a deeper dive.
For the podcast, just search The Dropout in whatever podcast app you use. I torranced the 20/20 episode
To be fair it threw me off for a while because the lighting tried almost to hide it instead of just letting it be leaving me questioning whether or not the other half of his beard was there or not.
She’s young and blonde and that was enough to put a spell over some of our countries most distinguished elder statesmen.
Proving once again, some of the "smartest and brightest" in government, academia, business and media are gullible morons. The fact that George Schultz still took her side over his grandson's, in light of the evidence and bracing by the lawyers is incomprehesible.
For those wondering about her voice. Starts at 6 minute mark. Edit: Just finished The Dropout. Im not in the business, tech or investing world, but to me, it seems unreal that a company could bring a product, especially one that would be such a game changer, that far and with that many people investing, to only be a complete fraud. People deserve to lose their money if they're investing millions in stuff like that without doing their homework. Just Wow.
https://www.cnbc.com/2019/10/04/eli...ranos-civil-case-file-motion-to-withdraw.html Lawyers are leaving because her lawyers don't think she'll be able to pay. She's gonna end up with Saul Goodman
https://www.cnn.com/2020/09/10/tech/theranos-holmes-mental-disease/index.html And now they're going to try to claim mental illness.
Do you think there’s any chance she gets off idk why but listening to how convincing she is when she lies makes me feel like she has a chance
I fell behind on the Gabby Petito story from the jump, and feel like there's way too much to keep up on. I choose this current event to stay on top of.
Early on this was expected to go until Christmas time. Just read it is expected to wrap up next week. Not sure how that works exactly but guessing the prosecution feels they have enough?
So it’s took like one dude with a tiny bit of integrity to undo this whole thing right? And he had to tell his grandpa to get fucked too?
I thought the company was legit when she changed her voice and started dressing like Steve Jobs. *Henry Kissinger and George Schultz like this post*
She was so close to folk heroism, if she’d just fleeced the ultra wealthy bozos without also doing it at the expense of people’s health.
I've only listened to a podcast about this person but I just... why in the fuck would you give this person $10, let alone $10 million
