"Let’s put together a football series between the state’s two premier college football teams — the No. 8-ranked Florida Gators and the No. 17-ranked UCF Knights."
You did pretty well, I think Corky Bucek is a little disapointed with the results. And auburn is not really better than fsu
Just another step toward the formation of the College Football Premier League Atlantic and South Divisions.
That's a good series. Arkansas and Oklahoma State haven't played since 1980 (!). Bit surprising considering the proximity of the two schools.
So, will Okie State be part of the College Football Premier League’s South Division or West Division?
OU v Arky have only played 3 times since 1926... all in bowl games. A home and home hasn't gone down since 1919/1926... yowza Would love to go up there for a game and watch OU play
Just chiming in to say fuck neutral site games. Tepid environments compared to what they could be. Sad that now, basically any time I see a non-con game featuring two teams I have heard of, I have a flicker of excitement before the inevitable remembrance that this game will definitely be played at fucking Jerryworld or some bullshit
And there's really not an easy way to rotate it in either. Home-jerry-away-jerry wouldn't work. It would have to be home-away-jerry-jerry-home-away
Jesus Christ. Lets see what VT has coming up..... https://fbschedules.com/ncaa/virginia-tech/ Alright, Penn State is cool. Notre Dame of course. WVU makes sense. Wait...2022. Virginia Tech is playing AT Old Dominion AND Liberty. LIBERTY!?!?!
I’m guessing that a game got cancelled this year and that’s why they play 2 FCS schools now Rhode Island and Furman.
So through 2031 they have FIVE road games left @ ODU, a game @ Middle Tennessee, 2 games @ Liberty, and in 2023 play @ Marshall and @ Rutgers. Fucking yikes.
"All-time great fanbase." Wasn't VT a doormat until fairly recently? Their stadium also holds like 60k. (And now everyone will just bash South Carolina since I'm the one bringing this up)
VT has traditionally had a fanbase that punches above their weight class as far as interest goes, kinda like WVU.
