I like seeing this recommended by others. Olde Town Arvada is always very close for us and I’m a huge fan of this place. I also think New Image is one of the better/most underrated breweries in a city that has plenty of great ones

 

You can pretty much walk all over the city. I didn’t own a car there for like 8 years.

parking in and around downtown sucks.

 

Infinite Monkey Theorem in RiNo is probably your best bet on that front.

 

Re: breweries in Denver....

I only had a few hours, but went to Cerebral, TRVE, and Baere.

All were great and would wholly recommend all of them.

 

Would definitely agree on Infinite Monkey Theorem as far as a winery goes. There are some good wine bars too. Barcelona (close to Infinite Monkey Theorem), Postino LoHi, and The Truffle Table are some of the top wine bars. Postino does really good happy hour deals (it gets busy) on Sundays.

 

One of my favorites. Love the mixed cultured beers. My buddy just started brewing for Cerebral.

 

My favorite at TRVE was Novae. I think that's a world class beer. Myrican Viking was also very good.

I checked out Ironton Distillery in RINO West yesterday and highly recommend. They had a “bourbon” that was dangerously smooth, a Colorado absinthe and some Scandinavian liquor, and do $9 sampler flights.

 

Why did you put bourbon in quotes?

 

I was under the impression bourbon had to be from Kentucky but I just looked it up and I was wrong

 

Was that way in the past. The definition has been updated to remove that requirement.

What is this Octobruary bullshit?

 

Didn't go in yesterday (I have to commute from Arvada to Boulder) and had an incredibly productive day not having to waste my time in traffic. Most of our office did the same.

Today all of my team came in, including me, despite the forecast calling for snow all day. We all are already plotting on leaving early and likely not coming in tomorrow. Haven't really gotten a whole bunch done that I couldn't have done at home.

 

Mile High Spirits distillery has pretty decent bourbon, apparently has live-band karaoke on Sunday, and the bartender is like a 9

 

I've seen this place before but we've never stopped by. We'll be in town all Thanksgiving week to see fiancee's family so I'll have to make it happen this time

 

Monet exhibit is open through February 2nd for those so inclined.
