"In a turbulent social and political time, let's give them more of the whitest human being alive" ~ESPN execs
Unless its Mina and Amin w/ the shipping container in support, it's a hard pass for me. The whole crew is on vacation. It's not the Lebatard show right now.
That reminded me when I worked mids but would come in on evening shift for OT. I’d have LeBatard/Hock/Stu then Jorge/Karen Kay overnight and then Sidney Arthur Rosenberg in the morning.
I know I’ve mention it, but papi’s fake handshake will never stop being funny to me. Legitimately makes me laugh aloud.
Two hours of LeBetard and the open for Greenys afternoon show is Frank Caliendo doing voices because evidently that's still a thing... Great work ESPN
That fake doc also showed again that Sarah Spain just isn't funny and isn't as entertaining as she thinks she is.
If she hadn’t done the commish rap early on in the bucket of death game, she’d have no use for being on the show. What makes the show work is that nobody takes themself seriously. Except Sarah.
Or they at least get made fun of for taking themselves seriously. And they all laugh or roll with it except her
I like how today’s show was one continuous fuck you to ESPN. The Shane bakalata bit was great. I was never a fan of Golic senior but hearing how espn did him the show talking about getting him to become a part was great.
It's fake. They were doing these fake interviews a few months ago to try to be funny and I was hoping they stopped because they realized how bad they were.
I just listened yesterday to this. It was "ok" satire. I think the idea of a satire of a host who is literally "stick to sports" is a fun concept. And the guy who did it did a pretty good job. But it was ok. I do think that satire idea would be a really good one in the hands of actual people who are actually good at satire though. Ala a Sacha Baron Cohen
Limited Fake Steve Spurrier after watching Scarface today was the hardest I’ve laughed at this show in years
There's no thread for this and I never watch but I like Keyshawn way more than I thought I would and JWill sucks as much as you would expect.
Had to run some errands this afternoon and was on a Heat high so decided to listen to sports talk radio for the first time and forever and it was Hoch’s show. It made me wonder if he regrets his decision to jump at the first offer thrown at him. For as opportunistic as Stu is he had to foresight to see that he needed to be a remora fish to Lebby all the way up to the big stage.
His show is so terrible. You would also need that bot to claim every single guest as his good friend as well.
It really says a lot that they keep pushing that he is their idea of the "face of a sports fan". It always has to be a NYC or Boston guy too.
What other platform gives them TV capabilities on the same level though? I get wanting to leave ESPN but it’s ESPN.
I get it....I only watch/listen to it on TV in the background since I work from home now. I enjoy it but not worth subscribing to some additional ESPN service for it.
What do you mean? Their other competition like Cowherd and Dan Patrick both are on other TV networks.
