Sold that orange auto for $425. Pretty much paid for 3 boxes I got. Part of me is happy getting money back, other part is thinking about what I can buy now with that money....
Agreed to a deal on ebay with a guy to sell a card @ $120, $30 under my asking price. Guy comes back with an offer of $115.80 and says that's $120 shipped. FOH with that shit. He then tried to haggle a free Ke'Bryan Hayes into the deal by offering to pay $120 for both cards, but I pay shipping.
Anyone down in New Orleans/know if they have any good card shops? Found one via Google that I may try and check out.
My parents are downsizing and I’ve been up in the attic and found they saved every single SI for Kids magazine I ever got, including the one with the Tiger Woods card. Is there a decent way to get this card out of the sheet? Kinda freaking out at the moment
Was in New Orleans today, and decided to stop by an LCS I found on Google. Their counters were covered with blasters/retail all marked up at least 2x. I was there for about 10 min just seeing the selection, but fuck dropping that kind of money. JRodMK1 they had Topps chrome F1 for $625
Anyone not in discord, you may want to check your local Barnes and Noble for bowman blasters. Two people this week pulled Torkelson autos out of B+N blasters in there, tried my luck today, no auto but pulled this of Torkelson
People itt have a discord chat going, it was posted a couple pages back I think. Whoever is better with discord can share link of invite again if you can't find it
got a football prime pack from the Walgreens with a retail pack of 2018 donruss and a 2020 hobby pack of donruss (wtf?)
My biggest pull from those was a Trent Edwards auto. They always throw a random college pack in the ones I've gotten. Like LSU or Texas.
The only card I regret selling early since getting back into the hobby was a 2020 topps finest red refractor auto # 5/5 of Ohtani. Sold it for around $220 to someone from Japan sometime last year. Got it in a random team break from Real Breaks. A base insert auto from the same set just sold for $370.
I'm being an asshole sending messages to any seller who is selling lots of 3 Topps Chrome CL seeing if they'll take my offer
Hobby and retail are the two. Hobby you can only get through hobby shops/distributors. Retail is what you find at target/walmart/etc. Hobby has far better odds for inserts/parallels/autos/relics, and usually more cards/pack.
For basketball/baseball, yea mostly. Upper Deck also sells hobby. Basically, retail is supposed to be the affordable way to collect, where hobby is where you go to get the goods, if that makes sense. If you can afford it, it's usually better to buy hobby.
No Upper Deck is their own company. They currently do hockey cards and some other sets. Leaf/Onyx are a few other manufacturers, but they're both shit IMO
Nope. Mine said it had prizm basketball in stock all summer. Never seen any cards there worth anything
Speaking of onyx, a buddy stupidly bought an onyx box of 21 football and one of the autos didn’t actually have an auto on it. Like they forgot to put the sticker on the card
