BIL is an enormous fan of the show (I like it as well but can't ever really listen anymore due to timing), like HUGE fan. got him a Stugotz cameo for his bday, excited to give it to him tomorrow. saw the other videos and Stugotz would give a good 3 minutes so I said worth. got the cameo and this motherfucker is pulled up in a golf cart off the 14th green at some course and shoots on my BIL for six minutes, it's fantastic. I just gave him a few leads and let him roll.

this was my first cameo, actually. I never thought about it because nobody in my family is that big of a fan of anything (or at least anyone relatively affordable) but I had some mad stroke of genius and decided to look. a bit disappointed Dan isn't on there but then I saw Stugotz and perked right up because I knew my BIL would probably appreciate it more coming from him. $150, pretty good deal. I'm usually pretty shit at buying gifts, that part of my brain doesn't work well so I lean on others for ideas, but every now and then I knock one out of the park and feel proud of myself.

Cameo can be a conglomeration of the financially troubled. I booked Chris Hansen from "To Catch a Predator" a few years ago, he looked like shit, and a few months later I remember reading he owed like $250K in back taxes. He did a good job on the cameo though, 4 stars. Fast cash if you're a celebrity and desperately trying to dig yourself out of a financial hole.

I am glad Super Bowl week is over. GBF puts off serious barstool vibes. The show as a whole has gone down the toilet. What used to be can’t miss radio/podcasts has become me catching maybe 3 of the 25ish podcasts per week. Mike Shur is the only Meadowlark move that made the show better.
It’s been rough over the last 6 months to year. It gets said a lot on the lebatard Reddit but not having the boundaries and confines of espn has hurt the show. They were best when they were rebelling against an overlord. Lots of other reasons too though. Witty at ep isn’t as good as mike Ryan was. Mike is creative and came up with bits. Witty doesn’t do that. Witty almost always just parrots what Dan says and never pushes back on anything. Too many people in the shipping container. Video department sucks. Dan brain rot with the same topics over and over. Too many podcasts that hardly anyone listens to taking away from the main show.

I was so disappointed with how they did the suey awards this past year. Still love the show but I do see some of the issues people keep bringing up.
Stu as a parody of sportstalk within ESPN was the height of that character. Now it’s just flat out annoying. Yes we get it…he’s lazy and comes in late and you can’t trust his word. Its not charming anymore. Just annoying how it derails show after show. The same bit about winning and personal record books and whatever else is just soooo stale. which is why I agree that it should be the Dan lebatard and mike Schurr show. He has been the best thing since they left.
I dunno if you can say that the video does that though. If anything other shows get in the way of the main show. I can’t see the show being much different had they not filmed that video for an afternoon.
The main characters have spread themselves insanely thin. Ex Roy is the EP of Montgomery and co, goes to every panthers home game, and works the show. chris does his dads show, cinephile, and the main show Billy gil is doing GBF Smetty has the golic pod and through the looking glass. it’s just way too much. add in wittingham not being the right fit as EP. He’s a straight man to Dan’s straight man. It doesn’t work. he also isn’t comfortable enough to steer Dan away from stormy political waters when he senses that dan has been pontificating for a long time. mike was a master at it.
Too Many Men a couple of times and a few south beach sessions. That’s about it as far as the network. the main show just needs to dump suey hour. Keep it to local hour plus 2 hour main show and that’s fine for one day. The show itself is spread too thin in the same way Monday Night Raw is.
The only other show I listen to besides the main show is basketball illuminati. I do agree there are entirely too many people in the shipping container
Smetty IMO I like her individually, but she's in her own world 80% of the time she in in studio. When she's engaged, she's funny as hell, but unless its ND/Clemson/Steelers/Bears football or nerd culture stuff, she's clearly on her phone watching tik toks or some shit.
Cote has to stay. I a greeon the Smetry take. Like CF3234 says she is never really engaged. They need to make a call on if Chris W will remain as EP.
He either needs to break out of his shell or turn over the on air controlls on the show to someone who has a bit more mike in them. He can be the guy pulling the strings off air, but the show needs someone like Mike guiding the show on air.
