these are a whole bunch of words. You said basically no one will admit being a racist. Right? So William whether he is a racist or not won’t admit to it, right? So (according to your logic) there is no reason for us to take him at his word. So believing one and not the other isn’t the “gotcha” or “hypocritical” moment you think it is.
Right, but that's why the whole discussion on this board got off track. Then you find yourself defending some tangential point, and the tangent takes over entirely. My beef with her about not feeling "protected" or "safe," was based on the fact that they wanted the benefits and safety associated with being under the royalty umbrella without the burden of the duties. Now, I can't say I blame them there. When you're highly unlikely to ever get the throne, who the hell wants to put up with the bullshit? I did find it a little disingenuous, though, that they wanted everyone else to pay for their security (the crown, Tyler Perry, etc.) because of how unsafe they felt, but then had plenty of money to snatch a $15 million mansion. That rubbed me the wrong way a bit.
Lots of people admit to being racist. The last 4 years of Trump certainly made it more acceptable. But in general, dignitaries try to avoid using that type of language because of appearances. And my point stands. It is perfectly acceptable to make decisions about a person's sincerity and credibility. In fact, I spend an ungodly amount of my professional time exploring that very issue.
to remind you of the relevant parts of your statement. you said William has a vested interest in lying. Then you ask are we going to take his word for it. Well of course not because it’s in his best self interest to lie. I can believe one and not the other and that’s not hypocrisy like you are claiming.
Fwiw I tend to believe Meghan and Harry, but if one is looking at this as a skeptic it's not like there is no benefit in this story for them. Obviously, regardless of the truth, the crown will deny. But both sides have an easily identifiable interest here.
this is true. But, not what he said. He set up a reason why we shouldn’t believe William then immediately said if we don’t but we believed MM we are hypocrites. My question was simply how can you reconcile those two statements. Also FWIW we can give the benefit of the doubt one and not the other and not be hypocrites.
Honestly, and I'm genuinely not saying this to be inflammatory or argumentative, but I'd still rather be here.
I think that's a bit harsh. Everywhere they go, they take part in traditional ceremonies and sometimes tribal rituals. Tbh I've never seen William come across as anything other than an absolutely decent bloke, and a good representative of the Royal family and the country. Plus he always wears a Wales shirt when it's England v Wales in the rugby, so...
Just so you know, I'm reading a random Vice article on why there are no Channel 37s in the US and just got to this sentence: "But after World War II ended, others eventually did pursue radio astronomy, including George C. McVittie, a British cosmologist who built the astronomy department at the University of Illinois in the 1950s, and George Swenson, who helped to build the university’s radio telescope." If I die tonight, assume the killer was a McVitie or McVittie.
Trump as a royal would actually be hilarious, he would do all his idiotic shit and we can all laugh at it because he would not have any power to fuck shit up.
No matter what anyone says you can’t make me believe those old jars of royal mayonnaise arent racists. And no matter what anyone says you can’t make me believe Harry and Meghan aren’t doing all this for attention and saying whatever they can to make more money. fuck the lot of them. I hope they all end up poors. And I hope Prince Andrew ends up getting shanked in a federal pound me in the ass prison after he narcs on all the other pieces of shit involved in Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking ring.
honest question does this mean something else? is the queen using the NCAA loophole? Edit: i guess it means light training
