Looks like the SEC is going to get back to being dominant with 7 of the top 14 teams. B1G unfortunately sucks and only has 3 of the top 14. ACC also has 3. Independents 1. Unfortunately the Big 12 really sucks and their highest ranked team is 15th.
Yeah, that seems very generous. I can’t really tell if 24 and 25 are bridge years for Kirby or what, but 26 is going to be a big one for his legacy (not that it needs a lot of help, but you know what I’m saying)
Yeah we going the Dabo route or are we getting back on track? A lot of the hires he does (or doesn't) make this year will dictate that
B1G soft with an even softer OOC. Y’all will lose to Oregon and Ohio State while running through everyone else, so that’s about right.
Unless the ridiculous 5th year ruling actually passes, we lose… QB - Leonard WR - Collins, Mitchell TE - Evans DT - Cross, Mills DE - Oben LB - Kiser CB - Morrison S - Watts K - Jeter Few of the above have already sat out a few games for ND this playoff. Everyone else is back. This season’s team is probably the youngest two deep ND has fielded in decades. Also helps that Freeman is very trusting of freshmen and sophomores to contribute.
not as things stand today which is what that list is reflecting I think we usually make coaching changes week after signing day thru March 1st (end of coaching contracts), but rn nothing substantiated. If status quo with the current schedule a 9-3 is on the docket.
We lose: QB - Dillon Gabriel RB - Jordan James WR - Tez Johnson WR - Traeshon Holden WR - TE - Terrence Ferguson LT - Josh Conerly LG - Nishad Strother C - RG - RT - Ajani Cornelius DE - Jordan Burch DT - Derrick Harmon DT - DE - LB - Jeffrey Bassa LB - CB - Jabbar Muhammad CB - Nikko Reed Nickel - Brandon Johnson S - Tysheem Johnson S - Potentially two more starters as well depending on if they use the JUCO ruling.
we should be decent if the OL develops. lots of talent in the secondary but it's all young and unproven. our schedule on the surface seems pretty easy so we may be one of those not-great 10-2 teams.
Alabama loses QB - Jalen Milroe RB - WR - WR - WR - Kobe Prentice (11 catches, 129 yds, 1 TD) TE - Robbie Ouzts (8 catches, 108 yds, 2 TDs) LT - LG - Tyler Booker C - RG - RT - Elijah Pritchett DE - DT - DT - DE - LB - Jihaad Campbell (117 tackles, 11.5 TFL, 5 sacks, 1 int) LB - CB - CB - Nickel - DeVonta Smith (30 tackles, 0.5 TFL) S - Malachi Moore (70 tackles, 3 TFL, 1 sack, 2 int) S - Also - rotational DT Tim Smith (35 tackles, 3.5 TFL, 2 sacks) - OLB Que Robinson (injured 2/3 through season) (23 tackles, 7 TFL, 4 sacks) - #4 receiver Kendrick Law (10 catches, 105 yards, 1 TD) - #2 TE CJ Dippre (21 catches, 256 yards) - #2 RB Justice Haynes (79 carries, 448 yds, 7 TDs) - both the kicker and punter
We lose: QB: Jalen Milroe RB: Justice Haynes OL: Tyler Booker TE: CJ Dippre, Robbie Ouzts DL: Tim Smith, Damon Payne LB: Jihaad Campbell, Q Robinson DB: Malachi Moore, DeVonta Smith K: Graham Nicholson P: James Burnip Not too bad all things considered; Booker and Campbell however are irreplaceable. Really just comes down to QB and offensive coaching competence, which is anything but a given. Specialists will probably be a roller coaster too.
Looks to be pretty wide open. The play of Dante Moore (Oregon, 5 star, supposedly was outplaying Gabriel by the end of the year), Julian Sayin, Arch Manning, Keelon Russel, and Stockton will largely determine where this all lands.
I'm gonna need footage of Boo filled with rage driving his Gator themed golf cart around Nocatee after losing to a Carson Beck led Miami team.
yeah the team who just hired the greatest coach of all time isn’t gonna be at least top 10 sure thing brad
We lose like a combined 200 starts on the OL and will be breaking in a new starter at QB. #1 seems too low.
Whether either team deserves it or not the media is going to rank Texas and OSU 1-2 because it’s the week 1 matchup and we gotta generate that sweet commercial revenue
I know you guys weren't nearly as good this year, but this seems like the least you guys have lost from one year to the next in a while.
It's probably the least turnover we've had with our starters since 2004/2005. But we'll see whether that means much or not, I guess. We did bring back a lot of guys who could have been 3-5th roundish picks, which is good. So it's not just warm bodies. Simplistically it seems like the pieces are there to be very solid if the QB situation is consistent. But that's a big if.
Helps when only 2 guys are good enough to leave for the draft early. Milroe was leaving regardless imo
