I’ve always considered the panhandle Florida’s New Jersey, and Central Florida to be its Long Island.
I’d argue that was more 99-01 as well, that and the button-up warmup pants. Had to wear shorts under bc some older dickheads would rip them open for fun what a moronic fad that was
"USC target OT Ben Boulware of Winston-Salem, NC was offered by Southern Cal." This is how the media writes recruiting reports around here
Mountain View Prep RB Jaylen McGill (5-10 200) surprised a lot of folks when he announced a commitment to Rutgers January 25th while on a visit to the New Jersey school which included a trip to Madison Square Garden for a basketball game. However, that commitment only stuck for a few weeks. McGill announced a decommitment on February 12th and has opened up his recruiting to all comers. “Why I committed to Rutgers was because I was satisfying my own self,” McGill said. “I’m a big believer. I believe in the Most High. I was just satisfying my own self. I had a spiritual awakening. All I’m doing is following my faith. God gave me a new life, and I’m blessed to have this new life. The reason that I decommitted was because it was a spiritual awakening.” In today’s recruiting climate, a decommitment is often followed by speculation that the prospect is prospecting for a better financial deal through the NIL process. Not the case here, McGill said. “I only plan on going to the biggest corporations. I plan on going where the dogs are at because I feel like I’m the best,” McGill said. “I’m not worried about the money. I’m not worried about any NIL deal. The money is going to come. You ball out, the money comes. I ain’t worried about the money, the money is worried about me. I’m more into being developed and being the dog. I want to be the man with the plan. I’m going to burst onto the scene. If you want somebody to come burst onto the scene and instantly impact your program, then holler at JMac.”
Has re-classifying actually worked out for anyone yet? Im only familiar with the OSU guys who did it. Quinn Ewers didn’t play at all, transferred, and still waited four years for the NFL instead of three. Sonny Styles finally came on strong at LB on the back half of this year and decided to return because he’s not ready to be three and out. This should be his third, had he not reclassified.
1st? Are we assuming that he’s just not going to grown and develop over the next two years? Or that he’s going to have worse QB play?
I’m not dug in on this. If you guys say so, then I guess we’ll see. Anyone else reclassify and become a three-and-out star?
Why would he stick around for a fourth year? The sooner he can get to a second NFL contract the better off he will be long term. No reason to risk injury, the talent is obviously there.
