Pumas don't live in Africa or the Mid Eastern sub continent either. They also can't fly or design a uniform worth shit.
the preseason should actually be decent this year too with so many first team players not going to the World Cup.
It’s annoying me that Emery is being referred to as ‘Head Coach’ as opposed to ‘Manager’, more than it probably should.
I’m really excited to try to learn to watch a new tactical style. I chose Arsenal in like 2005 because of Arsene and the way we played back in the day. Watching every match (some of them multiple times) to really figure out where players were coming from, where they were supposed to be. By 08-09 I knew where players were supposed to be at any given time and it really helped me understand the game so much more. Looking forward to some newness in my soccer watching.
...I was a complete neophyte to soccer and knew next to nothing about it before playing intramural soccer in college beginning in 99. So I knew precisely nothing about formations and tactics. FYI.
Don’t even care about keeper. Need to get the rest of the shit in line and actually play some semblance of defense.
GK isn’t very high on my shopping list this summer. Investing elsewhere would be more impactful to the squad
Cech has another good year in him if we can get the defense sorted in front of him. While he made some uncharacteristic mistakes this season, he also got hung out to dry a lot by the defense. GK can wait until next summer, when we’re back in Champion’s League (by winning Europa).
arsecast with ornstein and a journalist who covered sevilla during the emery days https://arseblog.com/2018/05/episode-474-unai-emery-arrives/
get your shit together. apparently the Arsenal Vision podcast is very good, but I can't stand Yankee Gunner so I rarely listen.
The pragmatism criticism is a bit concerning but other than that I really liked everything I’ve heard, especially about the work ethic.
I’m just at my desk and unbothered 95+% of the time so I should just get back into the podcast app on iPhone
His voice is absolutely grating, but he grew on me. I get what you are saying though, because I avoided that for years. Wasn't until I was on vacation with nothing to do and he said something ridiculous, but it was funny, and I was able to get on board. But yeah, Arsecast on Friday's has been my pre game ritual for years. I skipped quite a bit of the Extras on monday this past season because we were a shit show.
more than anything, its just really nice to care/be interested in Arsenal again. Things had grown so stale/boring/repetitive. And now, we have no idea whats about to happen. That is fun as shit.
If it allows AMN to be in the midfield, I'm all for it. The guy is fast for someone who's 34 - solid backup for Hector
