I was expecting him to leave anyway. My guess is SD going to be getting a heel in the shakeup now. How long is Rusev out?
Something interesting needs to happen though, after the stinker they put up at mania they need something to get interest going again
Love Smackdown Live. Big fan of Bray, but damn this Orton/Bray feud. I hate that WWE has made me not care for Wyatt anymore. Missed potential.
My bet is it's a fight at his compound or some shit. It just hit me, but I think they are trying to do a Broken type gimmick with Bray now. Making him snap completely and have gimmicky matches.
That was a pretty meh smackdown overall. Naka debut was good but that was about it. Expected a lot more, especially after RAW last night
pretty sad DIY didn't get called up... maybe next week. Also I loved this program but the Mania stuff and again tonight.... just bad
RAW outdid SD this week Also, wasn't expecting this in my twitter feed from a hockey journalist, but so true
You and I are usually on the same page. Been waiting on you to jump on board that this Bray/Randy feud just......sucks.
I've been ok with it till the Mania match. That match made zero sense. Tonight was pretty stupid. They are going to need a really strong EP next week to not have me fully off that wagon
I think really I'm just jaded towards Orton. He doesn't do shit for me. I thought we were definitely seeing a new Wyatt member tonight, but that last quarter hour was a complete waste of time.
Most underrated part of that segment is the great ass shot we get of Maryse....her in the Nikki gear is fire
Yeah same all around. One of my favorite builds, but the past 3 days has been very meh for any sort of payoff.
Talking smack they ask Naomi who she wants to have a match with, says Charlotte. Thinking that's a possibility (Char to SD).
I don't think WWE knows what they're doing for sure yet in this shake up honestly Shane said he has been doing negotiations and everything goes through Vince (like it's trades) Then he says he thinks RAW will get first pick because Stephanie is daddy little girl (like it's a draft) Renee then calls him out saying "well isn't it a swap this time" and Shane goes "I think it should be". He didn't seem to know what it was
Steph tells daddy who she wants and Vince makes sure it happens... Shane try's to Kayfabe it and fails. Just like the draft
Shane also specifically mentioned Enzo and Cass when usos came on. Renee jumped in and mentioned other teams. But Enzo and Cass and Charlotte both had dead end storylines Monday and then mentioned tonight on talking smack by title holders.
I'd be cool with Char, I had mentioned her before in trades. Enzo and Cas don't do much for the tag division. Would rather have see The Club. But as I said before, they just need more air time. SD has been giving Women a lot of time as of late, and I don't at all mind that, but they just need to find a better balance. Tag Teams were getting all the focus right after the draft. It looked like they were starting to build Ascension pre-Elimination chamber but everything fell by the wayside for WM builds.
Randomly found this website today, random stat, Mojo Rawley has a higher winning percentage than John Cena, Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns. Highest active in WWE (outside Asuka, minimum 50 matches) http://www.profightdb.com/wrestlers-with-highest-win-percentages.html
Smackdown wasn't as exciting as Raw, imo, but it was a much better watch being only two hours. I don't know why they don't do 205Live for the first hour of Raw and then have the actual show be 2 hours long. It would help the pacing tremendously.
Since AJ is likely heading to Raw, I do wonder if WWE is going to bring someone like Balor or the Club to SD as a level of comfort for him. It isn't really WWEs style but this is a unique scenario.
I tried to follow this on Wiki, its so confusing. They basically were given free reign, it is like a bunch of HS kids who are making irreverent videos in media class.
Would be weird for AJ to come out and cut that Smackdown promo and then get moved. I think Charlotte for Bliss makes a lot of sense. Probably need to send another girl from Smackdown to Raw as well. I think we could see New Day moved over to Smackdown as well.
I kind of hope the club gets sent to SD Live. AJ is starting to turn face, they could come over and try and to get him to heel out with them. Could be an interesting story line
True, but SD could probably make it better than Raw and this time you could have him reject it and fight with them. Send Finn to SD too and recruit Finn to join them in his place. Just trying to think of ways to use the club, because wwe has done an awful job with them
all of the moves made ultimately favor building the bigger/pop culture show (Raw). Raw draws casual fans, SD draws the more loyal fans. - unless its a swerve, AJ said he wants to stay and buried the hatchet with Shane last night. - Charlotte is unlikely to leave Raw, they have done a soft rebranding on her to incorporate the Flair name. She is going to be a cornerstone for years to come. - Enzo & Cass might be setup for a move, they want the belts and just lost out on being the #1 contenders. - Seth could go, between the stuff with HHH/Stephanie and how he raised Balor's hand and pointed at him (both in legitimizing Finn & symbolism those gestures) - I thought I heard on Raw Talk about Renee pulling double duty & hosting that + Talking Smack, Dean is seemingly position to lose the IC belt to Baron. - Couples tend to be kept together, Naomi/Uso, Renee/Dean, etc.
Just a guess based on the how the shows played out... Going to Smackdown Cesaro Shamus Rollins Zayn Charlotte Going to Smackdown American Alpha AJ Ziggler Natalya
Ill give you Big Cass and Carmella (she was spun off to have her own identity) but Del Rio was pretty much gone at that point.
I know some don't like that RAW has such a deeper roster, but I like the idea that Smackdown is used to build new talents or rehab guys who have hit a wall with the company. Smackdown doesn't need more than one or two big stars. Every six months, give them someone like Zayn or Cesaro or someone else who isn't getting serviced on RAW and let him get his career going again with a push on the other show. I think that's a good use of the second show, because it's a way for Smackdown to avoid getting stale in the way that RAW has with the same guys every week.
Raw Talk rarely happens, only after big PPVs it seems like, so I don't think Renee pulling dbl duty for that is as big of a deal.
