I love how fluid the UI is on the X My wife however isn’t as big on her X yet. She misses the home button
Got off the couch to grab something from the kitchen and while I was standing in the kitchen it slid off the sofa.
I reflexively still want to hit it sometimes but seems like a pretty easy transition so far. In a week or two I doubt I'll miss it at all.
You can add a virtual home button. Haven’t tried it yet. http://appleinsider.com/articles/17...he-home-button-heres-how-to-add-a-virtual-one
I’ve been caseless since I picked mine up Friday. I really like the rounded edges of the phone, but I definitely can see myself dropping it since it’s so slick. I’m not a fan of a lot of the cases out right now though, I ordered this one by anker.
I am currently using one of these... https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B075...words=TOZO&dpPl=1&dpID=41KvFnqFIkL&ref=plSrch It's super thin but I'm not sure how much drop protection it actually adds.
So i just ordered these as well. I don’t really like the one I posted earlier. I’ll see how I like these and keep the one I like the most. Spigen liquid air. I had this one on my 7+ Caseology parallax Caseology vault
Seems like a widespread problem. https://lifehacker.com/how-to-stop-your-iphone-from-autocorrecting-i-to-a-1820163694
All of those Spigen cases have all these fancy names and I don't know what half of it means. Usually just end up ordering some reasonably priced one.
Only weakness I've found so far is that Face ID doesn't recognize me when I am wearing my fratboy Ray Bans.
i got the thin otterbox on my 7+, for like $30. really like it. naked is the best, but i dont trust myself at work with it.
Mine wouldn't work last night when I was laying on a pillow. Was annoying as shit. Is there a way to turn up brightness while watching a video in landscape?
I️ really liked the one I️ had on my 7, but it looks like they’ve ported the button covers that I’m not thrilled about. IPhone X version on right
This guy doesn’t have that problem. In fact his phone probably high fives him every time it unlocks. Spoiler Deal with it. Tom Loy
Swipe down from the upper right of the screen to bring up the control center. That command moves as you rotate the screen.
Not quite what I would prefer coming from a 7+, but I think a lot of it is due to streaming music. I haven’t saved anything offline on Spotify yet which I usually do to save data and battery, so I’ll see how the battery life is tomorrow at work after i finish downloading all this music offline tonight.
Picked up this Milanese band, to dress up the watch. The quality is equal to the Apple branded version & was $185 less Spoiler
Any recs for classic game emulators (Genesis, Super Nintendo...etc.,) for MacBook? Also controller/joysticks
Yeah I was gonna say I haven't had a screen protector since like 2010 when I had a fucking Droid Incredible (which I actually liked a lot).
No. Most people I see with screen protectors usually end up with cracked screens which leads me to think of two possibilities. 1. People who use screen protectors are clumsy and the protector isn’t going to help. Or 2. Screen protectors cause the phones to be more rigid and therefore more brittle which causes screens to crack instead of flex. Not sure how much validity there is to that thought though.
I've always used screen protectors and my screens were always perfect. When I switched from Android to a 7+ the dude at the Apple store said a screen replacement with Apple care was cheaper than buying a screen protector. I ended up with way more scratches than I'm used to.
My favorite thing about the X is the command center notifications when the phone is asleep. Messages and notifications are disguised until face id picks you up, then you get the message detail. #privacygains I feel like the gestures are super easy, and have already become second nature. I will say I have swiped up a few times looking to turn off rotation lock before realizing its now in top corner. Probably the biggest change for me. Love the screen size/overall size of the phone. I always had a plus for the screen size not because I necessarily wanted a phone that large, so I couldn't be happier, and this is before all the apps/videos really fit appropriately. Looks like they already pushed an update down on the weird I to A symbol thing.
I'd update with the worst thing is going back and having to enter all my info into the billion apps I have. Seems like only a few carried over the login info. Also edit: how fucking retarded am i? I literally have like 10 passwords that I could use on each login. Im locking myself out of accounts left and right. Tips for password manager system/software/method/just dont be an idiot?
Always. It has saved my screen multiple times -- it always takes the brunt of any fall, and if/when there are small scratches you can just replace it. I usually bought Zagg since they have free lifetime replacement (just pay for shipping), but now work pays for any screens so I don't even hesitate.
Yeah, I like seeing what the notification is, so it works perfectly for me. I could see if you don't like seeing the content at all that this would seem counter productive.
I've probably said it ITT thread before but my favorite "case" is the corner bumpers from Utomic. It's the perfect minimalist option where the screen and back are uncovered so it doesn't get dirt/dust/lint between the case and the phone and you can lay it face down or on the back and not have the screen or camera lens touch the ground.
Like on Androids, fine as long as you don't put metal or magnets in between the phone and the wireless charger.
