Excessive force is routinely applied to non-whites; we see this in CDC info. This is why non-white people are routinely dying at levels far beyond their white counterparts. You can’t say “well in this particular situation” because it doesn’t comport with the likeliness to die at police hands. Black people and Native Americans are being killed by police at absolutely stupefying numbers. It’s a systemic issue, and one that can’t be explained away by training, unless your argument is that we need to address why this is; in which case I would agree.

its always amusing how its not in the top ten most dangerous jobs but cops pretend like they're going to war the folks collecting your garbage or mowing your yard are in a dramatically more dangerous job
when you dig into the numbers, an incredibly high percentage of injuries and fatalities for cops are related to high-speed chases, something that they don't have to do and something that is often far more safe to just let go given the inherent risks involved for bystanders.
