It's ok. some of the bark that was in direct contact with the grill grate got basically outright burned. The meat turned out just fine, but not nearly as good as a low and slow cook. Having it be done in 6.5 hours instead of 14 is a welcome improvement though.
This isn't going to be for most of you, maybe for older parents or those in condos/apartments. I just launched a new brand and grill platform. Full size free-standing grill and griddle but 100% electric. Standard 110volt plug. If you've got anybody that may be interested I'd appreciate you passing it along. We're running a $200 off sale through Friday. it's not meant for purists obviously, but intended for people who can't have gas or charcoal due to any variety of factors but still want to grill. As somebody who has tested them all, it's the only electric that can replicate cooking on a gas grill. trying to avoid direct linking it, but it's called Current Backyard.
Just bought my FiL who lives in an apartment the electric Blackstone for his patio. Wish I would’ve known about this option!
We're watching analytics and conversions like a hawk right now so we'd definitely see it and I'd just rather my work not know my username here.
No surprise but we have sold a lot to Florida, California, New York etc. One of our other brands did an electric a couple years ago and sold a ton to The Villages
One comment I have on the website is to see if you could add images of the cooking surfaces. The griddle specifically doesn’t have any. Also speciations image and/or a pdf would be great as well. This is coming from somebody who has sold consumer goods online and would get these all of the time.
I appreciate the feedback. We're actually trying to load the remaining Visual Shelf images right now and that should cover what you noticed. We launched this brand and site directly overlapping with our parent company swapping to SAP and whew buddy let me tell you, nothing has run smoothly with a single system that we have
Understandable and that sounds like a fun time on that timing. Overall I think it’s a nice product for the target market. Do you guys plan on doing a table top version of the griddle?
Table top and built in versions of each, plus a hybrid product that can do both grill and griddle in one firebox are on the roadmap
Very little right now but all the influencer content will hit over the next week or two. We've filmed everything it's just all being edited and scheduled and all that jazz. We "officially" launched only about 2 weeks ago. Cookoutnews posted them grilling some lobster tails on a cold snowy night but the lighting is pretty bad. https://www.instagram.com/stories/c...rce=ig_story_item_share&igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA==
Nah we're targeting more of the California crowd, but I do wish one of our other brands would partner with him
