I just binge watched S4 and really enjoyed it. Perhaps the show mainly appeals to those who have read the books. If you have a high end 4K TV the HDR looks fantastic.
Enjoyed the season a lot. Glad that they finally wrapped up the Walker angle. Also glad they killed off xxxxxx. I have been over xxx for awhile. I am assuming next season will follow up on the hong kong angle. If I had any complaints it would be those damn protestors. I really didnt see the point and they literally had one slogan and they kept fucking repeating it over and over. I wanted to kill them. Also the acting associated with any scene they were in felt so staged, unrealistic and awful.
Also it feels like they do a very good job of getting this show out in a timely manner. The waits don't seem very long and I appreciate that.
The scene at the protest when the Chief pulls his vehicle up next to the Mayor's vehicle was outstanding!
Nope. I went in blind. Been watching for a couple of years and only just realized this is from books.
It's an excellent crime drama with an outstanding cast. It's based on a series of 20 books about an LA detective. In the books Bosch is a Vietnam vet, in the series the timeline has moved up and he is a veteran of the Gulf War.
Just started. Hope it’s not one of those situations where the whole season builds up to the resolution of the first episode’s first scene.
It was mostly enjoyable for me, but pretty standard fare as far as cop dramas go and he is a bit too much of a superhero for a guy who walks like a cripple when he is not playing the guy walking like a cripple.
Well yeah. I don't really expect this show to be a high-brow, thinker like The Wire. But maybe something more like The Shield, and even better in some parts? Yeah.
In full binge mode on this. Hated her in 24 but sad about Eleanor in this. The daughter tries a bit too hard with her acting but like her.
I’ve been hammering through Bosch for a few weeks now. Im early in season 5 now. Absolutely love it. It hasn’t fallen off at all imo.
to me it looks like they’re Spoiler Setting up the end of Bosch and Edgar which happened very early in the books /s/ #BoschBookFag
I view the wire as a culture show, this probably is my goat cop show. Bosch did that shit a few seasons ago with the camera on the roof so hope he doesn't get on some almighty high horse about Edgar.
based on most recent season Spoiler why would Amazon let them go? The ending clearly has a continuation for him as a PI
Never thought I was a sucker for product placement but picked up 2 cases of fat tire at the store today so maybe I am
Loved the new season. I agree that Jerry's downward spiral was a little too much there for a bit and some of the Billets stuff was a little dumb, but overall I definitely enjoyed it. For some reason I thought they were gonna have Maddie's boyfriend be involved somehow. So glad they didn't go that route. Also loved this:
Spoiler Amazon owns the IMDB brand… they need a strong lead in to encourage more viewing to their free steaming service… it’s a business decision
