I didn’t think anyone was doing % off list on 592s. What’s the wait these days? Over a year? I got 11% off list on the GCL.
Uh, that’s the point I made above. It was a fight to get her to accept it. She’s coming from an Audi Q7. Given the state of the market, I didn’t want to pay stupid prices. I didn’t even let her look at the Wagoneer.
counterpoint there's a nonzero chance that all money is worthless in like 10 years so you might as well spend it while you got it.
No way man, the BMW design team has been ripped apart from hardcore fans, professional critics and casual observers alike. They have basically changed everything that has been historical BMW design features, leading to an uncanny valley of car designs. Straying away from distinctive halo headlights. There is no design continuity between kidney grills of even models within the same series (example M3 has always looked like a souped up 3 series) now they look completely different. They have changed the Hoffminster Kink on multiple models (rear window curve where the roof slopes down and meets the shoulder of the body above the rear wheel) The shoulder of the side profile is historically something that runs nearly straight from the front wheel to over the rear wheel. That is now hit or miss on other options The biggest for me is now the use of sharp angles and the lack of curved body lines. They are looking more like modern Lexus’ than they do BMWs It sucks the design is so off putting because the performance is arguably the best its ever been.
Do you hate the i4 design other than the grill? https://www.bmwusa.com/vehicles/all-electric/i4/gran-coupe/electric.html
They have a lot more options in that 50-70 range than Mercedes. Mercedes does nothing sedan electric for under 100
I'd like to keep on for bmw. The car market is insane. Bmw used to be the best bang for the buck, especially if you were buying a driving machine and not a neighbor impressor. Subaru had a claim.
Wtf? What are you talking about? I just said I don’t need a large SUV. And I said I had 7 months until my lease is up. Why are you attacking me? I’m not buying anything soon. I’m starting this search.
Maybe I don’t understand the definition of a crossover. My wife used to have a CX5 (before kids, when we were less established) and I thought of it more like a traditional SUV.
local dealer claims 8-12 weeks. All comes down to what parts they have at the moment. Gupton is no questions asked 6% below invoice. Tennessee dealer.
Cash in? Dude, I didn’t make any money from COVID being a thing. That’s not why I have money. You don’t know my profession, you only know my academic background. As I said in my first post 3 pages ago, I’m not looking to spend big on this vehicle. I don’t think it’s worth it. I’ve said it several times. Im not going to stop and pay $80k+ for a vehicle right now btw, your posting this page has become odd. A few words, lots of periods, some non-English words. Are you drinking or what am I missing? You turned mean.
Have definitely seen the Gupton recs on the Jeep Wrangler forum. They seem great. I went with a Maryland dealer because I was able to drive there in about 2 hours.
I’m going to chalk up this discussion as you’ve been watching college football and drinking. I am suddenly less reliable because I don’t know that much about cars and wanted to have a discussion about them is a weird take. We can talk tomorrow, instead, ok?
I'll ignore the rest, team you. Drove them home up to age 3. Everyone I knew told me I was insane. Needed Yukons for a single car seat
Wow. I can get the 1 car seat behind the passenger in my current car if I slide up the seat, but my kids legs won’t fit if I put a seat behind the driver in the current car. Rear facing it would work but they are too big for that now.
Not for pperc but I think Toyota hit a home run with the new Sequioa. Fiancé likes them a lot and we may get one. Way way way too many women driving gm suvs around here and I like the Sequioa better. She is driving a Tahoe now but we aren’t buying one when we look for her.
I'm unusual. Most of this board is cool spending 75k for cars. As much as they pretend to understand things, they pretend to care and understand. I simply will never. I'm sorry I offended you
A true suv is a body on frame truck like the chevy tahoe or ford expedition. A crossover is built on a car chassis.
I like them but I’d rather have the new Corvette for not much more money. Drove one a few months back and loved it
There are much more egregious examples out there for modern BMWs, its not terrible. The new M4/M3, X7, 7 series and M2 are more along the line with what I'm talking about.
