I think the offense will be better under Ty than it was under Milroe. He'll make better decisions and operate within the offense more. We will be able to run more of our playbook with him. The quick game will be much better. If the defense plays exactly the same it will be about a 1 to 1.5 win difference than last year and we'll be in the playoffs. Really hard to say much beyond that. If he continues to improve over the course of the season, that could result in us making a deeper playoff run.
We likely win the 3 road games that we lost last year because they are home. If Ty can be Jake Coker we can find away to go at least 2-2 on the road in the SEC we should be hosting a playoff game at worst.
Ty couldn’t beat out Milroe and slid short of the 1st down against USF when the game was still on the line. He’s got a lot to prove.
Us winning a bunch of games at home under Saban had a whole lot more to do with it being Saban than the games being at home. I wouldn't just take for granted that we will win games at home just because they are at home. I do think Tennessee is poised to potentially have a down year with their QB situation and lack of weapons on offense. Vandy will still have Pavia so we will find out if Wommack can do anything to stop him. That was an absolutely dogshit performance by Wommack last year. And then OU is a total question mark for me . I guess the Washington St transfer QB will be their starter.
I see the Miller thread is going great with the new info. Hanging up on the texts he sent and not the fact they’ve found that the bf was handed a gun by the gf and there was a third person with a gun involved too. but the texts!’
We are going to view it in the absolute most positive light for Bama and they all hate Bama and will hang on anything negative. There will be no middle ground and no one actually cares about the victim.
Well obviously they'll apply the same logic to Harris providing a gun in the situation as they did for Miller. Spoiler
They didn’t even know the trial was ongoing before Miller testified. How do you expect them to know what came out in trial before he testified? They didn’t even know the civil case was settled last month.
Both the prosecution and defense rested earlier today. Davis took the stand and testified in his own defense. Closing arguments were expected to conclude this afternoon (might already have) and then jury deliberations will begin.
I started a thread when Deboer was hired and my OP was “hop on the debone throne cuz”. I was subsequently finger wagged by several of the posters who are going hardest in that thread for “black speak”. “Hop on the debone throne cuz” is black speak. no doubt there’s some I hate bama in that thread but I’m guessing there’s a bit of something else there too
This is very random but iirc several of you guys took Uncle Ron and Professor Jones' Vietnam War class at Bama, as I did. The Turning Point series on the Vietnam War on Netflix is presented in a super similar way to the way their very unique class was. Some from the American POV and much from the Vietnamese POV. Loved that class as I am sure many of you did so thought I'd pass it on.
Thanks. That class was great. Dr. Biedler in the English Department taught an awesome summer class on Vietnam. He was some kind of scout or something and had some wild stories to tell. It was obvious that his time really fucked him up for a while.
Currently listening to Vietnam An Epic Tragedy by Max Hastings. Max Hastings pretty much does everything top notch. I've tried reading/listening to other chronicles of Vietnam and they will go back to like 1600 and tell some tedious ass fucking mind numbing version of events. I think Hastings does a good job of starting it where it needs to be started and moving it along.
Speaking of English classes, got to love some hot ass classes in the Morgan building. That place is still running untouched by time I'm pretty sure.
Political science major and english minor. So Ten Hoor and Morgan were a dream team of hot sweaty POS buildings but they were my POS buildings.
There was this weird thing going on when I was there where I had multiple history and english teachers that toughht my dad in the 70s and were still there to teach me in the early 2000s. Not sure if that is still a thing. I thought it was kinda cool.
Whenever I see talk of us getting a Penn St player in any sport I ignore it because it's not interesting, somewhat depresses me, and I hope it will just go away.
I’m not sure if you remember Utz McKnight, but I see him at least once a week at City Cafe. He doesn’t look any different than he did when I started college.
